Two years ago we were here and wanted to try again. It was a busy Saturday night and the restaurant was completely full. We got our dishes and they were delicious and nicely presented. But we had to wait ten minutes for the vegetables that came with the main dish, and by that time the dish was getting cold. And a separate salad never arrived at all.
We ordered deserts, a cake based on berries. But when it came, it was frozen, so we were unable to eat it. We had to ask for them to take it away and they agreed not to charge us for those deserts. Lovely food, but some shortfalls with the service.

The best restaurant in Thatcham. The staff are attentive, food is flavourful and the atmosphere is always welcoming. We’ve come here for date night, family fun, friends on a sesh and the live entertainment nights; never a dull one!

This was a cracking choice for our son’s birthday. It was midweek so the newly reopened restaurant was not busy but the service seemed relaxed bordering on slow. The menu was extensive giving plenty of scope. All the dishes were well presented and proved to be good value.

This was our first visit to Bella Luna. We managed to park opposite the restaurant, which was a bonus. We had booked a table, and were seated in a corner, which for me, being Autistic was essential. The restaurant was a good 95% full, so the waiting staff were extremely busy. Overall, the service was not bad. The young lady serving us seemed a little overwhelmed and almost came across as being aggressive at times. I ordered the garlic bread, which was slightly burnt and unfortunately did not taste of garlic. My main course was Pene al Forno, a favourite of mine. Unfortunately, again the dish came out and the top was quite black and very dry, so I can only assume it had been left in the oven too long. Whilst I would usually send a dish back, I put it down to how busy the restaurant was, and decided that I would come back again and give this restaurant a second chance so to speak. My dessert was the lemon sorbet, which was absolutely refreshing and very delicious.

Food, ambience and service were below par my main meal was nothing spectacular and thought perhaps my favourite dessert, tiramisu would be able to make up for it. Wow was I in for a shock as it was nothing short of inedible. Not a hint of coffee, marsala or marscapone. Literally finger biscuits in whipped cream topped with excessive amount cocoa but still utterly tasteless. And just when I thought it couldn't get worse, after posting a review through the resturants website page the restaurant responded by insulting me. So definitely won't be back and certainly won't be recommending it to anyone.

We’ve been going to this restaurant since it opened and it never fails to delight - the food is always freshly cooked and delicious, the wine is very reasonably priced, and the service is always excellent. We love that they’ve now cut a window from the seating area to the kitchen so we can wave at and talk to the chefs. Cannot recommend it highly enough 😊

Ordered Polo Milanese and my partner another chicken dish. Both were stated to come with vegetables and roast potatoes. Chicken was fine but between us we were served not one a potato and and less than one carrot and some calabrese. We complained and were brought out about half a potato between us!
Were brought the dessert menu and when my other half went to order were told they had no desserts due to a freezer problem!
Complete joke!
Had we gone to the Szechwan just a few doors would have got a better meal, which is where we’ll go next time.
Don’t waste your time with this place.

My dining experience at Bella Luna Thatcham was simply excellent. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The service was impeccable, with attentive staff who ensured every detail was perfect. The food was exceptional, with each dish bursting with flavour and beautifully presented. Overall, Bella Luna Thatcham exceeded my expectations and I can't wait to return for another unforgettable meal.

I ordered the pasta Fettucine Rosé at Bella Luna, and it was hands down the best pasta I have ever had. The flavors were perfectly balanced and absolutely delicious. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, and the open kitchen was spotless and professional. Highly recommended for anyone who loves great food and a warm atmosphere!

Disappointing. Loud, bordering on roudy. No atmosphere or decor. Slow service, petulant service. Forgot part of our order and blamed us! Poor presentation and small portions of food that do not represent good value. Seems that they have over-stretched themselves moving to new premises and book in more tables than they can cope with.

A nice looking place , but the staff let it down. After getting seated we were seen by a miserable looking waitress who by no means made us feel very welcome, no nice chat or smile for us. Food was OK but overpriced for what it was , and the thing that really let it down was that three of our party were very sick that evening after eating here! Very expensive drinks too. Service charge was also hugely expensive!. Won't be going back!

Bustling and warm, the Bella Luna is rightly highly popular. No matter how quickly the place fills up, and it does, the speed merchants in the kitchen and the hard working floor team seem to pour out the food without delay and it is food worth having, with the menu showing a large number of pasta/pizza choices with just that extra tweak to add interest. Well done all. Be sure to book.

Highly recommend if you’re looking for actual good food, not processed and every single thing is delicious. Honestly some of the best food around here — the owner is the sweetest and so personable. I ended up going back and brought my friends. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!! Thank you to the owner and staff for making everything so enjoyable and being so sweet.

Ten of us dined on incredible food with attentive waiters and waitresses bringing our requests smoothly. They served marvellous Italian dishes hot and perfect. Remarkable memorable night with my colleagues!

It was busy on the Friday night we came to Bella Luna, but they found us a table which we could have for 1 hour 45 min before it had to be vacated. That was plenty of time for us to enjoy a delicious fish dish and a pasta. The tiramisu topped it up nicely.
Staff were effective and friendly, and the prices were acceptable although not particularly cheap. Especially a glass of house red wine for £7.50 felt a bit excessive. Nevertheless, not a bad Friday night out.
