What an incredible place. Best pub I’ve been to for years. I was even driving! Food sensational. Both mates had Brazilian fish stew and I had the Thai curry - all got smashed! Really delicious. Landlady and her staff so friendly and engaging. Recommend +++.

We went based on a recommendation, and we weren’t sorry! This charming abode has a real working fire, a wonderful atmosphere, modern and quirky features, and cheerful staff. We had two roasts and honestly I can say it’s one of the best dinners I’ve had...in my life, and no I’m not just saying this! Everything was fresh, hot, full of wonderful flavours and the portion sizes were phenomenal! You get a personal experience, your unhurried and always well taken care of! We are so glad we tried this little gem, and will be back at the weekend for my birthday!!More

We think this is rhe best of our local pubs! It's always warm, intimate and friendly. Always a warm welcome and personal service. They were very accommodating for our baby too. Food always amazing and menu familiar but has rotating items to keep it interesting....Our friends we took were visiting from Aus and said it was the best meal they've had in the UK so I think that says it all!More

What a wonderful evening meal. Staying in the area locally and chose this pub for a Saturday night meal based on other reviews. Not disappointed at all. The wonders of Trip Advisor! Very friendly service, good choice of menu and the setting was lovely. The...veggie sharing platter for starters was huge! Very tasty and even though we are both meat eaters would be my go-to starter again. Husband had the Fish Stew and was best he’d tasted, and the burger was high quality, well seasoned beef cooked perfectly. Portions very generous and sadly no room for desert. Thanks for a great meal and would def returnMore

A typical country pub serving excellent food at a reasonable price. The Chef is from Brazil with some dishes offering a distinct Brazilian flavour. We tried the Brazilian fish stew which is the best I have ever had. Full of several different fish and very...large prawns in a Brazilian broth. Very friendly and attentive staff with the kitchen staff also available to discuss the menu. Sunday roasts were also available and seemed a popular option. Would recommend booking and we will visit again.More

We had lunch here and were very pleased with the service and food. The food is freshly prepared and presented well. The home made beefburger is an excellent choice. Some different dishes on the menu from your usual pub grub. Well worth a visit.
