We did some traveling through Nova Scotia from Ontario. We love our Chinese food! House of Cheng was recommended by our motel receptionist and we were not disappointed. It was the best we'd ever had. The phone was ringing non stop for deliciousness!

We were delighted - they don't look like all that much from the outside, but were spotlessly clean on the inside, and the food was delicious and plentiful! The waitress was a lovely young lady, and took pride in working in a place where everything...was made fresh. The service was very fast - we were there on a weeknight, so the restaurant itself wasn't super busy, but they seemed to be extremely busy with take out orders.More

Always friendly server, great Takeout food, order is always ready very fast. Hot and Yummy. Highly recommended.

Got take out and ordered two different things from the menu; it really was very good! Their lil ribs were especially flavourful. Neither of us took to the egg rolls, but other than that it was an extremely pleasant meal and had leftovers the next...day, you get a lot!More

This is a great little Chinese restaurant right on the main drag (Hwy 1) of Middleton, Nova Scotia. It is clean, neat, and the service was good. We were there at dinner hour on a particularly busy Saturday night, but the one server on duty...did a great job of handling everything. I ordered the #14 Combo, which consisted of well-prepared and delicious sweet & sour shrimp, garlic spare ribs (some of the best I've had anywhere), and moo goo guy pan (wonderful, with crisp veggies and delicate pieces of chicken). The egg roll was good, with an unusual filling I've had nowhere else - not Chinese cabbage or bean sprouts - more like a bean paste or something. The plate did not include rice. At $13.50, I was very pleased with the generous portion of nicely cooked, tasty food. I look forward to my next visit.More

Had 2 meals as takeout. Egg rolls were delicious, and overall the meal was very good. No complaints with the taste, quality, or serving sizes

We always have great service and tasty Chinese cuisine. Lots of menu items and combo plates, plus they can make substitutions. A great place for a quick easy lunch.

I like this restaurant......but this trip this week was special. It had been one of those days.....family member not feeling well......busy schedule.......finally....time to eat. Yes I got there @ 7:25... They close at 8:00. Made no difference.....no rush....no watch checking.....the same attention to the customer...- me.....the food hot and well presented. The service......fabulous. I Told the waitress I would write a review as she handed my receipt. I said....".you know this is always a good place to come and get a great meal, but tonight I doubly appreciate your attention to detail and the quality of the food and commitment." What else can I say? House of Cheng, Middleton......10 out of 10.More

The food was great, big portions and was served to us pretty quickly as well. The only problems my family had to House of Chengs were the location as parking was very hard to find a decent space with the Capitol Lounge just next door...and the washrooms were terrible, they were clean but they are claustrophobic’s nightmare. To even get to the washrooms, you have to go down a small staircase with small stairs.More

It is always hot and always what I order .. they have never made a mistake with my order. They also accommodate very well. A consistent great restaurant

Our favorite take-out restaurant for birthdays and family celebrations. Highly recommend the "Dinner for Five". House of Cheng will substitute extra egg rolls instead of hot and sour soup. Great chinese food, fast service and friendly staff.

We arrived at 8:15 and thought they were closing, as the sign said 8pm, but we were told we don't close til 8;30, and they accommodated us! Very impressed with the quality of the food! Service excellent as well. If it was closer to home...I'd definitely eat there again! But a 500 km trip is a bit much for supper! Lol!More

the fried chicken is soggy as though it's been sitting for ages and has been reheated. the broccoli and beef is not edible. the egg roll is gray and gooey on the inside with a soggy shell.

Great size portions, very reasonanle prices and friendly staff! I’ll go back there again and again!!

Take out General Tsao chicken and #11 were both terrible. Ribs were very fatty, tough, dried out and too sweet. Chicken was too sweet and had very little spices. Fried rice was ok. At least it's relatively cheap.
