Amazing pub, character & charm inside and out. Delivered on every level, friendly service, divine food. Highly recommended. We will be back!

We walked in with our little boy looking for somewhere to have a meal out after a long journey. It seemed unfriendly and lots of men were crowded round drinking around the bar. We didn't feel at all welcome and we walked straight out and...More

Stop on our way home from Cornwall. We were made welcome by all and enjoyed a fine meal. Would recommend without hesitation. Located just off the A30 before Launceston.

This was such a nice place for dinner that we visited twice during our 6 days in Cornwall. It is a dog-friendly place - in fact, all round friendly. The first visit I ordered from the menu, only to find I had missed out on...More

Staying in Cornwall for a week and went here on a recommendation. Had soup (very hot) and mushroom (greasy) to start followed by pie (warmed up) to follow The pubs beer brewed for them was ordinary. Not for me I'm afraid

Nice food, but not enough staff to serve 4 of us promptly. Had to wait 20 minutes for plates to be cleared, then a further 30 minutes for our mains - even though not busy. Would not rush to go back.

We went in without booking and the staff were brilliant. Accommodating us with a smile. The ale was first rate with a good choice and the food was excellent and well priced. Recommend a visit you won't be dissappointed.

It certainly has and is well worth a visit, my favourite is the ships clock that strikes the watches, makes you think that time really is flying, the chimes are really are pure and simple.
