Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Would not go again. Our waitress was a lovely girl but didn’t explain the menu, then we got bits and pieces literally plonked on our table by other very young staff. Food was very average, sadly we didn’t enjoy it at all. The service was...bad, but only as they didn’t seem to understand what service actually is. Nice people, just young and uneducated in waiting. Beer was pretty good.More

Great food and scenery. Good food with a lovely selection of testing beer. Recommended if you are in the area. A must for beer lover!

Hubby and I dropped in for a drink on the way past. *Very* well set up with great indoors and outdoor areas. Beers weren't so much to hubby's taste, but others might find them great. Outdoor area was excellent, good staff. Not somewhere we're likely...to come back to, but really recommend others at least check out. Staff all very friendly and professionalMore

What a great brewery setup. We were excited coming in to the venue. Awesome building, the ethos is clear and visible, lively outdoor seating area. Good vibe. We asked one of the very young staff members whether we should choose a seat ourselves and she...agreed, advising she would bring us menus. Outdoor area was reasonably full, inside almost empty, on a Saturday afternoon. Unfortunately our young waitress then forgot about us and the numerous other young staff didn’t notice us either. Finally the waitress made eye contact and appeared to show some recognition, picked up two menus and glasses, then walked past us inside, returning several minutes later with items still in hand, replacing them to the service area. Yes, we could have called out, but at this point were intrigued to see when we would be served and fascinated watching the ineptitude of the staff. They are young and their inability is obviously due to lack of training by management. Several times two waiters would deliver one plate each to the same table at the same time. Staff wandered around with orders in hand, not knowing where to deliver them, or approaching the incorrect table before having to return to the kitchen for clarification. It was a bit of an amusing debacle. The food was pretty good, the beer good too. The service was a circus - but this could be turned around with some comprehensive staff training.More

The Servings of food were very small and highly priced and of average taste and quality. The beer was crisp and nice ( - although I like a head on my beer and this was served without any froth at all.) The table staff were...well organised and friendly. The surroundings are nice.More

My husband, son, and I ordered a variety of delicious snacks (páté, sourdough, smoked olives, bok choy) and sat outside in the alpenglow as my son sampled a flight of Sawmill selections. A must-visit if you love beer or just want to chill in scenic...surroundings.More

Has been our go-to place for several years but hugely disappointing this time. The previous visits the sharing plates menu has been amazing and a huge range to choose from. Today we were faced with a tiny offering (relatively) and had real difficult finding anything...at all that actually appealed to us. Portions of what we did order were tiny (but tasty) and so we left hungry and went elsewhere to fill up on some more substantial food. Beers were great though, as always. Not sure I’ll bother going back.More

Nice enough location. Good menu. Overpriced beers and sad they won’t let you bring your dog although there is a huge outdoor area. Especially in a place where dog owners have not many options it’s sad to see they want you to tie a dog...under a tree. Wouldn’t go back.More

This is a very interesting and pleasing space with a working brewery, warm furs and a mix of seating. Staff are friendly and accommodating and service is pretty fast. The boys loved the beer samplers selecting 5 from the beer menu and pretending they knew...what they were talking about while we enjoyed the wines. Meals are small, despite the claims that they are designed to share, but they are great flavours and worth having a mouthful each. Grab sides of potatoes and salad to share on the table, avoid the ribs and enjoy the rest. Highly recommend the ceviche and the gnocchi.More

Wow, this place is always amazing, from the lovely staff to the great ambience I could visit here every day. The food is consistently great, every dish. They do some really special things from the local oysters to hand made cheeses, the gnocchi finished with...a crisp coating was so so good, the flounder, wow not many places do flounder so thank you, the smoked fish pate, yum. Nice touches like the bread charred and warm is so much nicer than cold bread. The drinks, such a range, love trying the paddle of beers, can’t go wrong with a tasting paddle.More

Great atmosphere with really good service. We had the taster flights of beer $22 for 5 and really enjoyed them. We were enjoying the vibe so much we stayed for another beer and some of the small plates…the goat, the cauliflower pakoras and fries. All...reall tasty but the goat was quite cold, that was the only negative of the visit.More

The beer was great. The food was very poor and overpriced. Overcooked venison ribs and pork crackling that could have come out of a packet from behind the bar in any pub in England. Service was pretty poor as well. The very young waiting staff...insisted on clearing each plate and glass away the very second it was empty. Even reaching right across us still eating to grab a plate and despite being told that it was very rude, we were told "but it's empty"More

A pretty cool setup they have! We went for one of the beer tasting paddles and there wasn't a bad one there. The food on offer wasn't our kind of food, a little fancy however did look well presented.

We loved our lunch here. We were super impressed with the service by all the staff. We were sitting on the balcony/deck looking out and could see the staff being so attentive but also super quick, so great to see. Well done whoever does the...training as service seems spot on. The food we ordered was mostly snacks as we didn’t want to over indulge for lunch. Fries, the chipotle mushroom in kataifi pastry and the fish pâté with bread were all delicious. We shared a beer tasting as one of us was driving and the beers were awesome. Loved the Azacca Hazy and the Juicebox east coast IPA. Great atmosphere, service and beers - we will be back one day.More
