Inedible cold food that was completely bland. Arracine rice ball starter was bland stodgy and barely warm with a pink blob with no taste served in a dish. Pasta dish was chosen for its description of garlic and chilli. What we got was watery courgettes,...More

Usual high standard of Carluccio's. We were pleased we spent time looking for it. Staff are friendly and the food was excellent, nothing was too much trouble.

Have been to carluccio's in many cities, and their food standard is always consistent. On this visit in Bicester village, we ordered sandwiches, and cake for our way back on the train, and they were good.

We thought we would try out Carluccio's in Little Clarendon Street, having previously visited their branches in Bicester Village and the Oxford Castle Quarter. It was fine, but lacked the Wow factor and I wouldn't go here for a special occasion as nothing differentiates it...More

Very good and attentive service. Lovely meal, as usual at Carluccio's. A little off the beaten track, but still close to the centre.

Carluccio's café in Bicester Village, the infamous designer outlet in Oxfordshire, has gone and got itself a new outfit. Still dressed up in its signature blue and white colours, the Bicester branch of this successful Italian restaurant chain is part classic Carluccio's, part clams-and-clapboard Cape Cod posturing. With wood-panelled walls and high ceilings, the café has a unique character, and is the ideal spot for post-Prada coffee and cake breaks with friends, pre-shopping breakfasts and leisurely lunches. We love the Insalata Contadina – a smoked chicken salad with green beans, potatoes and roasted peppers; the sweet Sicilian lemonade; and the Penne Giardiniera with courgettes, chilli and deep-fried spinach balls with parmesan and garlic.
