Visited the restaurant recently and I have no complaints. The service was pleasant and attentive, with menus sanitised after use. The food was delicious (would recommend the chicken supreme and braised lamb), affordable, and the menu showcased a wide variety of dishes including vegetarian and vegan options. I booked online through messaging on Facebook and they were very quick to reply and confirm my booking. Overall a lovely place to have dinner.

I went here with my boyfriend and had heard so much good reviews from friends and family. From arriving we were greeted and given a choice of tables it had a really nice atmosphere, a good selection of drinks to choice from especially wine. I wasn’t going to but ended up going for 3 courses, starter being the blue cheese and pear salad which was delicious, the duck confit main was beautifully cooked and panna cotta dessert couldn’t be faulted either. The staff all helpful and friendly and I will be back soon for sure

We have selected Copper Kitchen to have our first post-lockdown restaurant dinner at because we had been there once in the past and really enjoyed it, and we wanted to support a local independent place as well. We have also heard positive comments about their social distancing measures. We have not been disappointed! The tables were well spread out, and sanitising gel was provided to all guests. We have really felt safe. When it comes to food and wine, the evening was just great. Prawns & chorizo toast for starter, then duck leg and goulash, with a delicious panna cotta and sticky toffee pudding to complete the experience. We've probably eaten a bit more than we desperately had to but not having been out for 4 months we've wanted to give it a proper go! With the service being as pleasant and helpful as one can only wish for, we feel that we can wholeheartedly recommend the place to anyone looking to dine out in Bicester!

This was a special occasion, celebrating my parents 45th wedding anniversary and we had travelled along way to visit family. Our table was for 6 people and booked at 8pm, we arrived early. The menu looked stunning but sadly allot of it was very limited and we were told that they had ran out of many starters and mains. We ordered drinks which were given to us in beer bottles and no glasses, when we asked we were told there wasn’t any beer glasses! The starters came , my Dad asked for pepper but we had to ask 3 different people in the end as it just didn’t come. The mains came we had to ask for ketchup and were give a spoonful amount to share with 5 people! The food was delicious but the service was poor, sloppy and lacked customer care.

Hi Hayley We are disappointed that you were not satisfied with the service at our restaurant as we are known for very good service and making you feel at home and we take pride in it. On the menu we were short of one starter and on the mains 2, but we had a special dish from the board, one pudding short which is very common as our food Is fresh and we make Limited amount of each dish to avoid wastage, ( there was still 90% of the menu available though) We can never tell which one sells most and least burgers and goulash which we ran out of on that night ( maybe because England was playing and we were very busy prior to 8pm when the game started). Same goes with ketchup, we give as much as normally people use but you are allowed to as for more as much as you want in fact. Te the glasses, we don't have beer branded glasses, just normal tall glasses as we only sell Bottle beers. As for the black pepper yes that could have come faster we apologise for the delay on it. We are happy that you enjoyed your food though, but to rate us poor for the things you mentioned feels like you just trying to hurt our business in these difficult days. It is not Fair.

What an absolute gem first time and feel we have missed out never coming before, the staff are first class and a credit to the restaurant. The ambiance and decor is beautiful really sets the mood, super clean and feels really unique. We had the steak which was cooked to perfection and my wife had the burger which was amazing, for dessert we had the brownie and sticky toffee pudding simply amazing. Shame we are about to go into lock down as we would be back next week, but they are doing a limited take away menu so we will definitely give that a go. Thanks again for a great meal.

We came here as the first place after lockdown and during the eat out to help out scheme. All tables had lots of space between and staff were wearing full face visors. Our waitress was also very friendly and helpful making the experience altogether very reassuring and enjoyable. The food was also delicious; I ordered the king prawn linguini and it was a huge portion with a generous amount of prawns that I was very impressed with. The desserts were not quite as impressive but still tasty. Overall, very tasty food, a lovely atmosphere and great service.

Copper kitchen can’t open at the moment, but are doing take away instead. We had one tonight and it was delicious! Closest we’ve come to having a restaurant experience from home - the food was every bit as good as when they serve it in the restaurant and it even looked fantastic, served in recyclable containers. Would’ve taken a photo but I’d already gulped it all up before I thought to! All in all - it’s obvious when someone really cares and takes pride in what they do. Copper kitchen clearly take a lot of pride in their work and have a talent for what they do. It shone through even in these very strange and challenging times, especially if you’re a restaurant.

Visited quite late after a day at Bicester Village outlet and were unsure whether we would get a table but they were very accommodating even though I suspect they were ready to close the kitchen. We had the special that evening - fillet steak with garlic spinach and dauphinoise potatoes ( they had run out of fries). It was excellent - perfectly medium rare. We had a sticky toffee pudding and cheese board to share afterwards and a bottle of Malbec. Couldn't fault anything. The chef came out to chat to us and check we were happy with everything. He obviously puts a premium on fresh local produce and it showed in the quality of the food. One of the nicest meals we have had in a long time and a lovely environment and friendly staff and clientele too. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend and will return on our next visit to Bicester.

The food is extremely poor for the price. I ordered a starter of prawns and chorizo for £9.95. This was served in its entirety on a piece of shop bought small brown bread. There was nothing which particularly stood out with the dish at all. For the main, I had a Himalayan Lamb curry. This was £25. The lamb curry itself was very nice & extremely tender. This was served however with a small microwaved veg portion, and plain uncle bens or similar, microwaved rice. For £25, serving a curry with microwaved rice is shocking. My partner had chicken supreme, which was nothing more than a small chicken leg with a side of risotto and cost £18. All together the bill was £75 for a really poor quality meal. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, and it’s probably the worst meal I’ve ever had considering value. On a side note, the waiting staff were extremely attentive & this isn’t a reflection on them at all. Similarly the decor in the place is fantastic which gives the feel that the food is going to be much better than it actually is. James

Hi James Of course you are entitled to your point of view about value for money, but it is important that I put some of your inaccuracies right. Firstly our food is made freshly from scratch apart from the bread. The rice is certainly not 'Uncle Ben's' microwaved rice because we cook it ourself, vegetables are freshly part boiled and finished in a pan and flamed to bring out all the flavour and seasoning, no vegetable in our restaurant goes in the microwave. The lamb curry is again a family receipt that is cooked by our chef who is originally from Nepal and it is all done from scratch. Although the bread is not baked by us as we are a small restaurant so do not have the facilities to do so. However the essence of the dish is the prawns and chorizo and the bread is there to soak up the taste for you to enjoy. The chicken is of normal size and is supplied by our local butcher as is the rest of the meat that we serve. It is a chicken breast and not a leg and it is served with the right amout of porcini and shiitake mushroom risotto with spinach and hard italian cheese. Sadly, we cant work out whether the price was your issue or that you did not enjoy the food as other than saying the Lamb was nice and tender you have not really said, but if you did not it is a shame that you didn't say at the time as you have said our staff are great and they would have been able to deal with your concern then and there.

We moved to Oxfordshire area last april & still finding our feet, so we looked for somewhere to eat with a bit of charm liked the look online & was not disappointed, although we the only ones in at early lunch, it was not to disappoint I had the salted mushrooms absolutely delish could of had it again for my main not that the main was not lovely i had halloumi & mushroom burger (without the brioche bun) am usually a bit disappointed when I do just get a slice of halloumi & mushroom whether in a bun or not, yet I still always choose it if I see it in the hope I get something with a bit more imagination. Needless to say I finished it & it was very tasty. My husband had king prawns & chorizo which he said was delish then for main confit of duck which he loved. The place has such a lovely atmosphere & I can imagine when its busy & bustling it's just lovely. Our server was lovely & attentive. We will be back, thank you copper kitchen you did stop us eating rubbish in the cinema x

We love this restaurant and the reason is that both the food and service are always excellent. My wife booked a table to celebrate my birthday and we invited our friends. The food was amazing, we love the fillet steak which is quite simply the best in Oxfordshire and we have eaten in all the best places. The wine menu is unpretentious yet packed with high quality wines especially the Argentinian Malbec. Finally, the waiting staff are friendly and helpful and just make the experience all that more special. The owner and chef is a real star and always makes us feel welcome. My wife and I could not recommend Copper Kitchen any more highly and it rightfully deserves it place in the Oxford Mail top 10 restaurants in Oxfordshire.

Absolutely stunning restaurant. The staff are very polite and accommodating. The place itself is spotlessly clean, with really warm/romantic atmosphere. The food is delicious, we had pork belly, which wasn’t on the menu but I contacted Kushtrim (the owner) and few days before and he went out and bought it for us especially. That was a fantastic touch and we thoroughly enjoyed it, it cooked to perfection. We have visited on many occasions in the past and the food has always been fantastic This is by far the best restaurant and will always be a firm favourite. Thank you to all staff and to Kushtrim for going above and beyond.

If you want to try a Bistro restaurant that is the nearest to a left bank one in Paris, you can't go wrong at the Copper Kettle in Bicester. Wonderful food under the care of master chef Kush. The Australian shiraz is as good as you'll get. Well done to all

Very disappointed with last nights meal… This was a little regular restaurant that friends would meet up at for a lovely dinner. Last night was very different unfortunately. We arrived and sat in the back area along with 1 other couple. The young waitress came to tell us the specials which had the steak, spinach and chips which we usually have as it’s so good! After the refurbishment I thought they may have changed the menu a bit but it is still the same (needs changing) so all 3 of us ordered the steak special- the waitress then returns telling us there is only 1 left!!! Reluctantly we reorder 1 steak, 1 confit duck and 1 prawn linguine. The wine we ordered from the menu wasn’t available, so she bought up another one (which was fine) The food took ages considering we were now the only people in the restaurant and when it arrived (one by one with quite big gaps between each plate being delivered to the table) the steak was overdone, so was everything on the duck plate and the linguine was really really spicy!! We ordered coffees, the Irish coffee arrived and was only half a glass?…. Used to love this place but have been really put off now- not sure if it’s under new management or staff?

We had dinner at this restaurant yesterday and it was great. Being a local Bicester resident, we've not visited restaurants on this side but we were glad we visited. They offer a great locally sourced 3 course menu for dinner but we went for 2 courses only as we were heading for a movie. I ordered the meat of the day which was steak with spinach which was great. My better half ordered the fish of the day and they were nice to customise the dish so she could have the salmon with beans and potato. The food arrived fairly quickly and the taste was great. The staff were excellent and surprised me for my birthday with an Eton mess dessert. Would visit again and highly recommended!
