The food was very good and plenty of it! Also they make great Bloody Mary's and margaritas. It is a small place with a bar and picnic tables...very casual and relaxed. There is an upstairs with more tables but as we were there off season that was not opened. Service was quick and staff was friendly.

After a hike to Williams Lake, we stopped on the way back down the ski valley to refuel at the Stray Dog. We had a local beer on tap, chili pie(spicy!) and fish tacos. Good food. You can't see the ski mountain any longer from the Stray Dog as there is a new lodge under construction which blocks the view.... More

The food was outstanding with excellent and festive service. We sat upstairs and had a dandy view of the street while eating. Certainly, I'd return

On our way home to Colorado from New Mexico we stopped here for one last New Mexican meal. Taos Ski Valley being a small area, we didn't have high expectations but wow - we were blown away! We sat outside on the small deck over the creek/river which was lovely, and the food was amazing. We had such a hard... More

Service was great. Small place food was ok. I had chicken enchiladas with mole. Were good but too much mole on them. Atmosphere was great.

My husband and I were in Taos for a long weekend and took in some hiking. When we arrived at ski valley, a local told us this was a good place for lunch. It was. My husband ordered the Baja blue corn fish tacos and I had the toasted turkey grilled sandwich, with included bacon, avocado, lettuce, tomato and provolone... More

Tim's Stray Dog Cantina has been a local favorite for a long time! It's location in the Taos Ski Valley means you may have to make it a destination spot but don't worry, it is worth the trip. The menu has lots of choices and there are a few tasty surprises! Try the Suzie Sushi, a blue corn dusted Chile... More

The ski valley has very limited dining in the off season. Luckily Tim's has great food and is almost never closed. I ate a really great chicken salad one time and a delicious quesadilla another time. Their fries are the BEST!
