Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The food was great but on the day of my travels back to California I purchased a 5 pcs and fries for $95tt. I had to ask for a receipt. He pulled one out from the register and handed it to me and I stuck...it in my bag to eat at the waiting area. 1 hour later I had my chicken and going through my receipt from the bag he billed me for $1tt. I enjoyed my food but he stole $94 tt dollars from Royal Castle. I know if it was that easy for that young man to do it to me he have done it many times. So, Royal Castle your employees are stealing from your cash register...just a concerned customer.More

Royal castle is Trinidad’s equivalent of KFC, and so much better! Local chickens that are lean on fat, yummy spicy seasonings and a batter that is delicious! Nice sides including their signature ridged fries and the best coleslaw of any fast food joint in the...Caribbean! You can’t come to Trinidad and not try Royal Castle! Service can be abit slow and the staff need to give customers and not each other their full attention. But this is a common Trini deficiency when compared with international service standards. The food gets a 5 and service a 2, but I’m still giving a very good rating.More

I like their chicken when it's freshly cooked, but they will leave the same chicken out for a while even to where it's cold when purchase.i personally like their fries because I like soft, wiggly fries, but not everyone likes those fries and likes crunchy....Their customer service is the worst customer service I ever experienced in my whole life. They cross their arms and roll their eyes when they have to take your order and even back talk customers who ask a basic question like if there are any breasts left. I've seen one representative yell at an elderly lady who asked about the thigh and told her "See for yourself!" I would never recommend the Royal Castle on the main road in Diego Martin to anyone. The airport one is nice, but out of 'tourist' area it's horrible by how they have no customer service training and generally angry all the time. They never smile, they never say hello, not even reaching by saying how is your day. The outside smells of complete garbage due to how the country treats it's land and has a dumpster that is never cleared out regularly. The only thing that ever makes me go back there when I visit Trinidad is their pepper. They would make a lot of money of selling pepper in all the stores instead of just a certain few, but I am sure if they did that, they'd lose a lot of business on the chicken and fry aspect.More

Usually, once I am at Piarco Airport and require a quick meal, this is my go to place. The food is well seasoned and inexpensive.

This is the best fried chicken I have ever had and 1-I don't eat meat 2- I was born in the South of the USA. This chicken was well-seasoned, crispy, hot and fresh. I began eating it at the counter-top.

We bought food here sometime last month. Service is a bit slow and the food is very delicious and fresh. Staff are unprofessional. This place needs improvement but at the same time is good enough.

No spirit of customer service, just horrible people. You leave more confused after ordering than when you approach trying to figure out the menu.

This place offers a typical fried chicken menu. The portion sizes are comparable to others (KFC, Churches) but the chicken itself is a bit bland. The fries are soggy, and there is a limited soda selection. If this is the only place that is open...in the evening-sure-you can get buy eating the food. I don't think I will return. There just wasn't any "Wow" factor at all.More

The chicken is well cooked but the service is extremely poor. The counter is chaotic and disorganized. The tasty chicken is worth it worth once you have the time.

This was a great stop when we arrived in Trinidad late in the evening and we headed straight to the hotel. Polite, prompt service. Good food. And pepper-sauce that even the locals rave about.

Stopped by this place recently after seeing a long line. The chicken is just ok. and their fries are just not great. This said, their hot sauce is spicy and excellent. Would I return? probably not.

This place is quite ok for a quick serve of fast food while you're waiting to checkin. The chicken was tasty, fries were nothing special. For an airport venue I thought the price was remarkably cheap: I paid $31 TTD (about $5 USD) for 2...pieces of chicken, fries and a small bottle of water.More
