Our son thought he would treat us to a lovely drive around the coast & meal at a special place. He had booked in advance. Seeing all the empty tables we realised that this was not necessary. The setting is lovely, views beautiful. It was a hot sunny but very blustery day with the South Easter Gales !! As we... More

We specifically chose Berties due to the fact they had lamb shank on the menu. Low and behold their online menu is out of date so when we got there no land shank only lamb shank pie. Still enjoyable but please update your website to reflect the new menu.

Great atmosphere with real good food. Sitting on the deck over looking the little bay is definitely a must.

Great place to have a few drinks but the food was hideous. The staff is providing good service but trying too hard as they are inexperienced. Payed R150 for a seafood platter which was probable the baddest one I've had. Not recommend.

We had a very scary and disappointing experience this afternoon. After my husband, 3 daughters and I were enjoying a pleasant lunch, my eldest daughter trip over a gaping hole under our table. When my husband looked down, there were street kids under the deck, one of which had a knife! After my husband scared them away, I went to... More

We didn't eat here, but the place is in a good position overlooking the harbour. The service was OK, drinks were generously poured and the live music on a Sunday late afternoon / early evening was great!

The staff were very friendly. However the food never lived up to the hype on the menu. The Tiger prawns were maybe tiger cubs at best and very expensive.

We had dinner at Berties Mooring last night. The food was good and well priced. Try the jalapeño poppers as a starter. The pizza was great. The resturant is positioned in a great area next to the mooring vessels in the harbour. The entertainment was also good. Live bands perform regularly at this venue. Well worth a visit.

Bertie's Moorings is to be avoided, except for drinks. Its only attraction is the setting, which is pleasant - seals were swimming in the water right below us, yachts were being worked on, etc. We ordered a pizza and a lamb shank; both were very modest attempts; the pizza ingredients tasted cheap while the price (R98) was really close to...
