Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Enjoyed a lovely breakfast at The Bank today, I had a breakfast roll and my husband had the French toast with coffees, everything was cooked well with fresh tasty ingredients. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the service was good, not rushed, and the...surroundings are lovely too. We will definitely be back and look forward to trying the evening menu.More

We had a lovely evening here. The menu catered for our gluten-free requirements, the surroundings were beautiful, the food was good and the service was impeccable, the staff a credit to the restaurant. Our food was quite slow to arrive but our server explained &...apologised for the delay and this didn’t spoil the experience. We will return the next time we are up in Huntly.More

The food was good. But the service from waitress was horrible. We got a full breakfast x4 3 fried egg 1 poached came out 2 poached 2 fried we left it be as these things happen. Forgot to put through one of Childs filled rolls...so this came out after everyone had there food causing the kid to scream and everyone staring. Still didn't complain as these things happen. You don't get toast with your breakfast we ordered it additional and it was forgotten in too didn't come out until after the breakfast. The waitress spent most of her time behind the till area we had to go up and ask for sauces. Salt etc. everything seemed like an issue for this person. When going to leave we mentioned service wasn't the best the waitress then got very defensive and her actual words were "your still paying" "I mean you had 4 full breakfast with extra" " we only have 1 chef" made us feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome not a nice atmosphere at all. Wouldn't reccomend.More

I came here for my mum's birthday and they were incredible. From the service to the food and the little requests I made for my mum's birthday, the staff went above and beyond. The kitchen produced some of the most beautiful food I have eaten...in a long time. As a former chef and restaurant manager I can't express enough how wonderful this place is. I came back today to enjoy a solo dining experience, having a lovely glass of malbec and a platter of cold cuts, that included some beautiful cuts of meat and fish. This is a hidden rose, from the traditional favourites they have remade into modern sensations, to the not so traditional Scottish foods on the menu. My partner is a vegetarian and the kitchen were happy to help make her dining experience as wonderful. I can't wait to come back again. Thank you to all the staff of the bank.More

We visited for a low-key birthday lunch and the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, as well as efficient. Our mum is 89 and uses a wheelchair and the staff went to great lengths to make it easy for us to access the restaurant using...a portable ramp. (We had phoned ahead). Our food was very tasty and good value. The staff even gave me a wee cake with ‘happy birthday’ on the plate, plus a birthday card! What a nice surprise and a very thoughtful touch. Would definitely recommend this cafe / restaurant.More

We popped in here for a much needed break on a trip and we were immediately made very welcome. We hadn’t time for lunch however the coffee and cake were very good, the service excellent and everything, including the toilets was very clean - I...was impressed ( it takes a lot! ) and the next time we are over in that direction we will definitely make time for lunch!More
