Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The hostess was very rude to me and very incompetent. Made a reservation and then called me to cancel it. I do not recommend. Very disorganized.

First time I jumped in just because I was curious. And it was a good choice. Excellent food made of tasty local products, fresh and delicious combination. I stayed in Bibbiena for two days and I could not resist to visit again the second day....Always for lunch. Alberto, the chef is a great professional who is a master of cooking art. Moreover very pleasant prices. Simply saying, try Il Tirabuscio, it is certainly worth.More

We visited this restaurant with friends who are regulars. It was an outstanding meal, fresh produce cooked with a slight twist. The service was great and the chef charming. An absolute gem.

We came across this restaurant from the Michelin guide and the Slow Food Osteria Italia guide. And we were certainly not disappointed, The menu contained some dishes out of the ordinary - and all very enjoyable with fresh local produce. The wine list is also...very extensive. With both local wines as well as from all over Tuscany and Italy. Unfortunately they have nothing else than wine - so our kids could get water only (fortunately this is served for a small fixed fee unlimited). This is always a big knock off for me, costing them a point in the rating. Due to the listing in the Michelin guide, the restaurant attracts an international public, luckily locals also seem to appreciate it as the crowd was mixed.More

This is a lovely place. The chef proprietor and his staff are delightful and the food is very good. You'll find local anti-pasti, interesting pasta dishes and top notch secondi. The desserts are exceptional and I'd recommend eschewing the tradition of hopping off to the...local gelateria for dessert and a coffee and having them here instead. Huge wine list where it would appear to be a good idea to keep it local. There's bundles of Chianti on the list and a lovely EUR 32 pinot noir. The whites weren't as plentiful which us is par for the regional course I suppose. We shared an anti-pasti, each had pasta, secondi,a dessert, the above-mentioned wine, coffee and a glass of prosecco to start. It came to EUR 130, or £35,000 by the time you're reading this review.More

Tirabuscio' is a restaurant in the town where I live. I often go there with foreigners friends and customers: Chinese, American and European they all agree about the fantastic food, decoration of dishes and combination of taste! Chef Alberto takes really care about the freshness...and quality of the ingredients which he mainly buys from local producers. What I like is the menu' that he changes very frequently while maintaining his philosophy of local-fresh-quality! We tried all the antipasti and secondi .. Amazing!! The service is nice and accurate! I personally suggest to go and .. Be sure you have time to have a walk around the medieval town of Bibbiena in order to digest all the food you eat!More

I should thank trip advisor for this advice. I would never have eaten in this place without tripadvisor. If you don't know the place, you won't find it. Nothing posh, but 100% authentic toscan food with a creative twist. The chef clearly loves his job...and has pleasure when his custommers appreciate his creations. The chefs englisch was as good as my Italian but somehow communication was not a problem. The culinar language prooved to be universal. Every dish was a culinar painting. A beauty for the eye, a pleasure for my tongue. The secrets of the chef are working with fresh, locally sourced ingredients, combined with a limited card. I took no pictures. Sorry, I was enjoying the food too much to take pictures. A place to revisit!More

Wonderful evening. Good food, good wine, good setting, good company. Overall, everything was great. I particularly liked the ravioli in truffle butter sauce. It was exquisite. I could have ate it all night.

We have visited Bibbiena more by accident, on our way back from La Verna. However, this restaurant is definitely worth even a detour if you're in this part of Tuscany. The place is small but very nice and cosy. The menu is short nonetheless all...the dishes seem to be prepared with lots of passion. We tasted fantastic zucchini flan (we actually ordered it twice as it was absolutely delicious). Everything was very tasty, superbly served and the owner was very hospitable! Highly recommended!More

We could not find this restaurant but a purely chance encounter with one of its chefs meant that he drove ahead of us and took us there. The restaurant was empty and so Alberto cooked for us. Try the miglefoglie starter, the pici with a...chili kick or the tortelli if you want pasta. We then had the trout, the rabbit and theduck. Extra plates were provided so we could try each dish and not confuse the flavours which were all different and full of flavours. For puddings we had the peach baverese and the zuppa inglese - both light in texture. All food is locally sourced and provenance listed. Finally Alberto holds a slow food award which is highly deserved. If you are in the area you should go thereMore

If you're ever in the Casentino area of Tuscany, this restaurant deserves a detour, because you will have a great time there. Alberto's cooking and service is second to none and the wine list is very good. Don't get me started on the food. Even...the simplest of dishes was delicately presented, and very, very good. Your taste buds will love it, and the fact that we went back for more- twice, should tell ypu all you need to know.More

The Tirabuscio is sitting just in front of a little theatre Dovizi in the old town of Bibbiena. Being all alone for a meal, the owner Alberto juggled between the kitchen and the tables. Salumi and affettati were of top quality, as well as all...the different pasta dishes we had. Booking is strongly advised, as seats are limited!More

The best way to discover this restaurant.... is not by reading Trip Advisor.... :-) it is - just like it happened to us - by accident. We walked by and were lucky to discover this little perl of Tuscany. We are from Brussels (Belgium) and...have spent 2 weeks in Poppi (next to Bibbiena). During our stay, we went back 3 times! Every time we were not only delighted by the quality of slow food cuisine but also by the amazing availability and creativity of the chef (an artist to me). A must go if you are initiated to slow food and you are not looking for one of those 'just posh' restaurants where you think you can demand anything because you are the customer. Everything is just perfect.More
