A friend and I were meeting for lunch, and they suggested going here as I hadn't been before. We were greeted warmly and drinks orders were taken and drinks delivered quickly. After perusing the menu, we decided to go for the two course option, there...was a good choice of dishes, I chose the salmon and cream cheese pate to start, and my friend went for the soup which was broccoli and stilton, my main course was haddock and my friend the gammon. All dishes were excellent. We then decided to have dessert both going for a delicious orange and chocolate cake. The service was lovely and friendly throughout, felt really relaxed, and there was a nice atmosphere, with some good old vintage pop playing unobtrusively in the background. Drinks prices were very good indeed as well. My first visit, but certainly not my last, thoroughly enjoyed my time here, and highly recommend this restaurant.More

Went to the boat house for the first time since it was deckers, for my birthday meal, the fillet steak was beautiful and cooked to perfection, the blue cheese sauce was to die for, also the strawberry meringue ice cream was absolutely beautiful and left...you wanting more. The staff were very polite who served us. We will be there again very soon.More

We arrived for lunch at the boat house and really didn’t expect to have such an amazing time. The staff and owner we are all welcoming and friendly, we were seated by the window and given it was 30 degrees outside it was nice and...cool indoors. We ordered our food and drinks which came in a timely manner. Will be going back and will be sharing with friends and familyMore

Had a truly lovely meal here with my family. The location is wonderful, with views across the water. Great, friendly service and amazing food - some of the best I have had in a long time! But on the day we were there the loos...were terrible! Dirty, wet floors, no loo paper and rubbish thrown about. At first I thought it was just bad luck that the ladies was like that, until my son went to the gents and commented on how dirty it was - to be honest he is 13 and has pretty low standards, so it must have been bad! Such a shame that what should have been a 5 star experience was ruined by such a simple thing.More

So I have dined here many moons ago and never felt the urge to leave a review. Tonight my meal was unexpectedly lovely, service was perfect and the drinks were flowing as they should. Only thing I could add for improvement is possibly seeing a...bit more adventure on the menu couldn’t hurt …. Saying that I’ve even seen signs of more adventure since I’ve last visited. Great stuff!More

Really disappointed at the menu. To change the menu and not notify customers of it. More like a pub than a restaurantMore
