We went here on a friends recommendation and boy were we glad. We sat on a decked area and the service was exemplary. The food was a treat. I started with Calamari which was beautifully cooked. My main course was sea bass which was fresh...from West Mersea and stunning. A number in my party had the chicken which they were equally effusive in praise. Desserts were divine too. A treat and highly recommendedMore

Amazing dinner. First time here, Suzanna made the best espresso martini I’ve had in a long long time and the new waitress, Maddie, who had her second shift was so courteous and lovely. Great place, can’t wait to return.

We’ve visited La Toscana a few times and it is consistently excellent! One of the best Italian restaurants we have been to, including those we have visited in Italy. 5/5

We recently visited this restaurant for dinner for a belated Father’s Day celebration. We decided to go eat at this restaurant, as it had good reviews & it was one of the best restaurants in Billericay. The menu had a great selection of starters, pastas,...meat courses and desserts and it was reasonably priced. For starters, I had scallops with cannelloni beans, pancetta & a butter sauce. My starter was delicious and the scallops was cooked to perfection. My mum had Burrata con Fichi (mozzarella & cold meats etc.) and my Dad had Spaghetti Vongole. Spaghetti Vongole was not on the menu but the chef still cooked the dish for my dad, so thank you to the chef for accommodating his request. My mum and dad both enjoyed their starters. For mains, I had fillet steak with sautéed potatoes, courgettes, tomatoes and mushrooms. I asked for my steak to be cooked medium rare and it was cooked to perfection and the dish was delicious! I also asked for a peppercorn sauce (it’s a £2.90 supplement) and it was a perfect sauce to go with my steak. My mum had spaghetti marinara (seafood pasta) and my dad had calves liver and they both thoroughly enjoyed their dishes. For dessert, I had vanilla panna cotta topped with a rhubarb and gin compote. The dessert was delicious and the panna cotta was very light. My Mum had a Rum Baba and my Dad had Affocato (espresso and ice cream) Once again, all the courses went down well and everything was tasty. In addition, the restaurant had a reasonably priced drink menu and had a good selection of beers, wines and spirits. If you love gin, you should try the Acquverdi Gin- it’s from the Northwestern part of Italy & it was lovely. The staff were also very friendly, polite, accommodating and attentive. Lastly, the restaurant is a ten minute walk from Billericay Railway Station. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and we will definitely come back to this restaurant.More
