Although close to the highway you feel transported back to a quieter time upon entering. Rustic farm style decor greets you and leaves you feeling cozy like entering a family home. This is not haute cuisine but it is consistently good. I had fish cakes followed by a prime rib. Both were delicious. This is a local favorite and no... More

I have been frequenting Mon Village for over 20 years -- obviously I have tried a lot of the items on the menu and I have only found 1 or 2 items I was not completely happy with. Since I moved to Ottawa I have only managed to get down every 2-3 months and it is hard driving by and... More

Went to the restaurant yesterday to celebrate my birthday. We sat on the terrasse. Both the food and the service were outstanding. We ordered meat fish and chicken and all three dishes were succulent. Mon Village is a hidden gem. Definitely would recommend it and would go back to eat there again.

The old mill/wood cabin interior lends itself to the history of the area. A step above pub food for sure. Wide variety of items on a large menu. I had fish and chips. The fish was great with a light batter. Their fries are ridiculously good. My friend Alex loved the chicken fingers. Nice and crispy and all white meat.... More

We were there to celebrate a friend's birthday in March. This is their go-to restaurant and is conveniently located close to their home. We've eaten here 4 times in the last three years and there really is NOTHING to recommend this restaurant. The food taste and quality is mediocre at best and sadly they often have issues with long waits... More

Went to Mon Village for dinner Saturday night, 8 PM reservation. We had to wait 15 minutes for our table, which I get...you don't want to rush people out the door. We were seated in the pub at the table close to the hallway....note to self DO NOT sit there in the winter again....it was very cold! To continue.....we waited... More

Seats very uncomfortable. Had to wait 1 hour after ordering our mane and the meat was Lukewarm. We were a party of five and when I complained the next day we were offered a brunch for two as compensation. What about the other three people? We would not go back again.

I have been to Mon Village a number of times over the last 20 years, with friends, with family and for parties as well as quiet intimate diners. It has to be one of the best and nicest country style pubs I have every frequented -- that includes Britain (although their "pubs" are different). I have only been disappointed once... More

The restaurant is located just off Highway 40 / 417. The restaurant has a definite rural flair and it's been a popular, gastronomique experience for years. We have been supporting the restaurant for over 40 years and we never get tired of it. Their French onion soup and garlic bread is the best in the area and their steaks are... More
