Stopped into The Picnic for coffee recently and discovered a little gem. Fabulous cakes, in particular the mint brownie. Great to see it supporting local suppliers and promoting local produce.

I visit the Picnic occasionally as they provide a good range of tasty snacks all be it a bit pricey but bear in mind they are catering for those that have a few bob to spare and fondly known as the "Mid Shires Brigade". Staff are friendly and quick to serve with few if any delays.A previous reviewer mentioned the... More

Always go here for breakfast when I can. Staff very helpful and eager to please. Will readily cook special requests. What's more the banter and craic is good and lively.

Picnic is a lovely cafe serving great food and coffee. My one and only gripe is the noise. The music is so loud you can't here yourself think let alone talk to your partner/friend without shouting. Asking them to turn the music down doesn't help either...if looks could kill! Shame as it spoils the atmosphere..

My boyfriend and I went for a big walk at delamont and decided to go for lunch nearby. Inside is small but cosy and quirky. The paninis were seasoned to perfection and we had to order the coffee cake.....so good! We've decided this will be our new local place for lunch. Love it!

I get take out lunch from here frequently. The staff are kind, and the food is freshly prepared. The food is very nice as well. I would recommend to anyone! Lovely scenery of the castle if you sit out, or you can walk to the shore and eat there!

Small but perfectly formed this place is the real deal. Particularly adept at brunch I've enjoyed many a lovingly prepared mid day meal with friends and alone. Famous for superb selection of cakes and desserts this place is frequented by all sorts. Cyclists too have taken Picnic to their hearts and on occasion the recent covered addition to their seated... Called in on passing for some lunch , good selection and the cakes etc do look nice . Only issue I have is the price , expensive for what you get. Think next time I will just go down a few doors to The Duffrin Arms .
