This is the local cornerstone of LaHave, Nova Scotia, great all year long. I've been a lifelong customer since its fledgling years in the 80s. The bakery is the focal point but be sure to explore, multiple levels from craft co-op, bookstore art gallery and skateboard shop.

Sorry, it may be different depending on the season but I unfortunately went Labor Day weekend & travelled to LaHave on Labor Day. The reason this place is # 1 for places to eat must be because NOTHING ELSE EXISTS nearby. Its right off the ferry landing, I really should have gone in the morning as I set out on... More

Well worth the trip over to lahave (and right next to the ferry, which is a fun little jaunt) Coffee and all items we ate were fantastic. Haddock sandwich, bagel and cream cheese, breakfast wrap, bread, etc... this is a very cool spot on the water and some great history in the building. Underpriced to be sure, well worth any... More

I eat the orange raisin bread from the LaHave Bakery all year, it's open all year. Their frest baked good, scones, cookies, squares and bread, are to die for. That and a cup of locally roasted coffee and you'll be in Heaven. The bakery has a unique atmospere filled with antiques and old local photos. A visit is aways a... More

We passed by on our trip through Nova Scotia. This bakery is a hidden gem with a very special atmosphere. The hearty scones as are delicious as the sweets. We had coffee and scones and we would ve loved to stay even longer. I can recommend this place to everyone!

If you love oat cakes, then this is the place to get them! Whenever we are near this part of Nova Scotia, making a stop at this bakery is a must. We love all of their fresh baked breads but we especially love their oat cakes. They are crunchy with a lovely hint of vanilla. They also have frozen meals... More

We really came to Lahave for the pottery but could not resist the bakery and little art gallery attached to it. It was very busy with the lunch crowd but we just got some excellent cookies to take with us on a picnic later in the day. It was fun taking the cable ferry over to Lahave.

We stopped here for lunch after we got off of the La Have ferry. It is a most delightful place to stop for lunch, coffee or a snack. The decor inside comes out of the 1950s!! The staff was super friendly, the food delicious and the cookies we bought for the road just wonderful! I highly recommend a stop here... More
