Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A lovely lunch of very tasty lamb. The suckling pig was good too but the lamb was the star of the show! The restaurant looks very attractive from outside. It was a shame there was no outside seating. The service was good too.

Very nice place, cozy, great traditional food (the slow cooked lamb and the orsnge duck leg, the house salad and the risotto were awesome), nice staff - a very nice stay after great canyoning.

Had menu del dia and it was excellent. 26 euros incl water and bread. I had risotto for starter which was delicious, followed by meatballs. My husband had a red bean, black pudding and pork stew for starter and lamb chops. My dessert was delicious...- like little profiteroles with warm chocolate sauce and ice cream. My husband had baked custard. We had a bottle of their rose for 12 euros. We were totally stuffed at the end of it, but it was the best meal we’ve had in Spain.More

Excellent food and great value! My husband and I shared a menu for 2 in the evening. They let us choose a different salad( huge and excellent), we had the roasted lamb /roasted potatoes, 2 desserts w/red wine, water and bread…all inclusive for 70 €!...We were stuffed and very pleased. You need to make a reservation in the evening during the summer months!More

Had diner here. Was expecting very good food based on reviews here, but was disappointed. Food was a bit boring and bland. The meat and chicken were cooked/baked well though. My low recommendation stems for a great part from the poor service. Staff was uninterested...and a bit cranky. It seemed there even was a discussion between staff and another table. Also, the food was served quicker than fastfood.More

A very welcoming restaurant with an interesting history in an old building but with modern facilities. Very welcoming and helpful staff and owners who try to explain and offer exactly what you want to serve. You can serve both local and international products. The salads...are diverse, brilliant and huge. However, for non-vegetarians I recommend local beef or lamb products. I also noticed that they had milk piglets but I did not try it on the two evenings when I served dinner there. It seems that they took into account the comments and have the menu in English, in fact that's why I entered. We had two wonderful dinners. Thanks to themMore

El Duende was recommended to us and by Trip Advisor. It was conveniently located just a block or so from our inn. The food was amazing. My wife enjoyed a tuna and octopus salad followed by baked cod, while I enjoyed delicious pork tenderloin. Yummy!...I do suggest going early as the restaurant fills quickly, even during off-season.More

We managed to get a reservation for dinner by calling in at lunchtime. It was lucky we did as many people were turned away while we were having dinner. We chose the 23 Euro menu. I had the artichoke pudding as a starter which was...nice but a huge portion. My husband chose the asparagus which came with Iberica ham and salad as he wanted a light entree -he had forgotten that the asparagus served in restaurants in Europe is usually white asparagus which we find less tasty than the green. I ordered the truffle meat balls which other reviewers had recommended - while they were adequate I did not find there was much truffle flavour. The pork was however very good. Desserts were also very good - crepe caramel and chocolate fondant cake.More

This is a small restaurant with relatively few tables so consider reserving in advance. On our visit we chose the menu at around 23 € including 3 courses, mineral water and bread), Wine is extra but prices are reasonable. I chose a homemade chick pea...soup for starters. It was delicious. More restaurants should serve homemade soups. The main course was roast leg of duck with a savoury-sweet sauce. Also very good. The dessert menu had plenty of choice including fresh fruit (e.g.Spanish melon). All three at our table were pleased with their meals. The restaurant offers good value at a reasonable price (29 € per person including wine in our case)More

Located out of the Main Street in a very strange and funny house, this restaurant offers typical tasty food with a wide enough choice. Price are very acceptable and even low compared to quality offered.

We went for diner with our two children, aged 6 and 8. It’s a cosy restaurant with a nice atmosphere in the centre of Torla. They do smaller plates for children. Our food was delicious and staff friendly. My sons declared the albondigas (meat balls)...with a truffle sauce were the “best ever” and the deserts were wonderful and beautifully presented.More

Don't miss this gem if you're visiting Torla. The artichoke "pudding" (more like a flan) with jambon and roasted red pepper sauce was heavenly. My steak was thin sliced, but seared perfectly outside and rare inside, tender as could be. My wife had grilled pork...tenderloins in a tarragon cream sauce that was also delicious. The tarijillo dessert put it all over the top. Lovely service in a charming dining room. Did I mention the menu is only 23 euros and the restaurant has a Michelin star?More
