The history and location of Cassidy's alone makes it worth a visit. The surrounding landscape is breathtaking and the pub itself is full of history and warmth. The place was entirely staffed by teenagers when we were there which I found amusing but they were...More

Thanks for your comments and we're glad you enjoyed it. Any time our son stumbles on a new place during a driving adventure it ends up costing us money too !!!!

The waitress, though friendly, was wearing a stained teashirt and trousers, which was a bit off-putting. The goats cheese starter looked like custard and tasted of nothing and the filo pastry was soft!! The steak main course was flavourless with onion rings which were mostly...More

Had a lovely meal here. Guests were a mix of locals and tourists (always a plus when you see locals eating). Myself and my friend had the Goat Burgers, even though they are on the lunch menu it was no problem to have them in...More

This was our first meal in Ireland and I'm glad it was. We all loved the atmosphere and the view was incredible. It was raining, but still had a beautiful view. We all got something a little different and no one complained one bit.

Cassidy's pub was a very welcome sight on the edge of the Burren as my friends and I walked from Gort to Carran. The bar is authentic olde world style and has interesting artefacts and photographs to admire. Food is served in the restaurant at...More

Thanks for the visit, Quite an ambitious walk, from Gort to Carron !! Well done. Glad you enjoyed the Shorthorn Burger, you would have passed our farm on your way from Gort and seen some of next years burger candidates enjoying the summer grass. P.S....More

Hello I went to Cassidy's pub for a spot of lunch. The service was friendly, the food was good. I got the Burren Chicken which was nice I only didn't taste any pesto on it. I found that it was overly priced. This is a...More

I visited Cassidy's several times last summer and in the years before and was never disappointed. Well, maybe with the exception in winter, when the pub was closed... The view across the Turlough is breathtaking at any time of the year, the food is fresh...More

Visited on a Sunday late afternoon and it was not overly busy. Left standing at the bar for quite some time with all eye contact being avoided. Eventually let barperson know that we would sit outside on patio. Had to to back to the bar...More

Thank you for your comments and sorry you were not satisfied with the service you received. We are understaffed at this time of year because a lot of the front of house staff that we depend on, are still in college. Some of our wait...More
