Coral Bar Restaurant is a family restaurant established in 1969 located on Calle Pescador next to Pine Walk in the idyllic town of Puerto Pollensa, in the north of Mallorca. The family who runs the Coral Bar Restaurant comes from one of the first families of fishermen rooted in Puerto Pollensa. With a close service, where customer service is especially taken care of, the Coral Bar Restaurant has specialized in homemade Mediterranean food, and especially in Mallorcan food, with fresh and seasonal products, becoming a reference restaurant in the town of Puerto Pollensa.

Excellent food and service.

Excellent food and service. Just off the seafront and a lovely breeze keeps it cool. We had shoulder of lamb, cod with tumbet and fillet steak and the staff were attentive and friendly and took the time to explain the dishes. We will definitely be going back. We don’t write many reviews but feel compelled to write this to acknowledge the food and service provided by this family run business.

Lovely restaurant with delicious food and great service!

A fantastic little restaurant. Food was delicious throughout and very reasonably priced for the quality - the lamb shoulder in particular was amazing with the meat just falling apart. You can tell that the waitresses and owner really care about the restaurant and it shows - the service was excellent. Highly recommend anyone in Pollensa to give this place a visit!

JUST GO,you won’t be disappointed

Went on a Monday night at 7 after booking the day before.Booking is essential if you want an outside table. Fantastic meal,we had fillet of beef and slow cooked shoulder of lamb for mains,both melt in the mouth and very tender. Best desert menu we have seen in port de pollensa and mama’s desert was just wonderful. Such a busy restaurant but very well handled by the owner and staff as they try to accommodate everyone.

We had lunch here on a warm and sunny day. The female waiter (we think it was one of the owners) was very kind, smiling and effective. The setting was pleasant and Sangria was extremely good! We ordered garlic prawns, salads and sandwiches - all portions very small and we left still hungry. Prawns were great, salads not so much.

Hola! Thank you very much for your opinion. Our family restaurant is characterized by being one of the cheapest restaurants with hearty and generous dishes in the whole Puerto de Pollença. It is true that "garlic prawns" is one of the most expensive dishes in the Restaurant, as prawns are an expensive product. We invite you to come back and be advised by the waiters. See you soon

Rude staff and took forever

We booked to go here for the last meal of our holiday as we had heard some recommendations from others. We booked the day before and had great expectations. Seated promptly and given menus and received drinks all seemed well. We were then left for 20mins before our order was taken but was fine as the restaurant was busy so we gave it a by ball. 2 groups came in a german group and another group that what seemed to be the head waiter seemed to know. Kisses everywhere and then all the fuss was on them. Everyone else was forgotten about. To be fair mum's soup the starter I had was delicious but everything else was quite bland. When they finally came to collect the plates I asked about dessert, he was obviously looking rid of us and said surely you have no room for dessert and tried to walk away. I politely stopped and asked him what they had and he just sayed many many things. I then asked for a menu and he nodded and disappeared. He proceeded to serve other tables and looked the other way when passing our table so I flagged down a waitress and asked again some 15mins later for the menu again. This waitress was very polite and brought the menu over straight away. There were many delicious sounding desserts and I wanted to order but having tried to flag the staff down to order from the "VIP" tables for a further 15 mins my wife and kids got up and walked out. Only then did a waitress run over and ask if we wanted dessert. I told her no thanks we did but it was taking far to long and could I just have the bill. 10 seconds later the ignorant head waiter set the bill on the table without even looking at me and shot off again. All in all a lengthy waste of time and one ignorant ignorant staff member (possibly son of the family) Extremely disappointed and we go to Puerto Pollensa every year. Needless to say we will not be recommending coral and we won't be back there.

Rude waiter who lets the whole of the waiting staff, chef and owners down. This was our second visit - the first was good and the second and definitely last was shocking. The food was great but the waiter (family I believe) was extremely rude to us for no reason. He evidently wanted us out as there was a queue waiting although we had only been there an hour. He signalled to the queue that we would be ‘gone soon’ and they could have our table!!! We were on our main course at the time and were hoping to have dessert as we had previously and had a full jug of sangria to consume. We are very amicable customers and had no issues at all with the service or the food. However….. The menu doesn’t reflect the prices, fair enough but you can see latest prices if you select the QR code on the web. Having been twice, we were overcharged considerably even against the web prices but assumed there was a premium to pay if inside the restaurant (as we were on the first night). We were overcharged again tonight, my wife simply questioned the itemised receipt. He responded “I will reduce the price now but you pay extra next time”, threw the modified receipt at us then looked at us like a piece of sh1t. We paid and left. Such a shame as the family members are so welcoming, the food is great but this individual will tarnish your previously great reputation. I can see that other contributors have experienced similar issues with the same staff / family member.

Very disappointing visit!

Have eaten at this restaurant many times but after tonight I really doubt I will every go back! Tbh I've never been blown away with the food but the staff and ambience made up for it, however tonight the service was practically non existence, we were sat at our table for 8.30pm and got our dinner at 10.15pm, a couple of us had come straight from work and was starving, had to ask for bread and drinks, tables arrived after us and were served their meals before us? When we questioned why we were told we were talking so didn’t think we wanted to eat? When the meal did finally arrive the salad on the plate had obviously been out under a hot lamp so was warm and wilted, the chips were anaemic and the steak was just ok, I had totally gone past the point of being hungry and could hardly eat it. The waitress did question if we liked it and I explained it had taken too long to arrive but she just shrugged and walked away. My friends ordered deserts but the cold cheesecake was put on a hot plate and started melting along with canned cream, totally off putting! On top of this the music was being played really loudly, we couldn’t hear ourselves talk, they turned it down then a few minutes later it was back louder than before? The meal was not cheap for a throughly disappointing evening.

What a Gem of a Restaurant!

This is a lovely traditional family restaurant, and we could have easily missed out if we hadn't been given specific instructions of where to find La Coral. What a wonderful atmosphere ,and the family are so welcoming. There is a large choice of starters and main dishes to cater for all tastes. Nothing was too much trouble and the meals served with their special Tumbal (if I've got the name right) were delicious. We were only in the resort for a week and our first visit to the restaurant was on Wednesday. We did not choose a starter, and ordered a main meal. The food was so good that we visited on the Thursday and Friday and were not disappointed. We tried a variety of items on the menu and we could not decide between the fish, lamb, chicken etc. the food was delicious. The desert menu looked very tempting and we could not resist - again excellent, and we were told that the puddings were 'home made'. This Restaurant is very well run by a family of true professionals, who work seamlessly together, yet find time to put their customers at ease, with a friendly chat whilst delivering excellent service.

Loved this place and ate here every lunchtime during our stay in PP. Family run, quick efficient service loved the fresh sardines, Majorcan salads and aioli (don’t forget my recipe please)! Always busy and good to book in advance. Location is just off the beach and is popular with locals and tourists. Kitchen closes mid afternoon (15.30 I think) for the staff to have a rest before evening service. The family who own this restaurant are always present and make sure every is up to their standards :)

The Restaurante Bar Coral has the most amazing and warm energy and is run by extraordinary, welcome and hard working people. That is why probably the food is great, very tasty. The service is wonderful. The staff is so friendly and ready to attend all your needs. Very fast. The location is great, with sea view. Everything there makes you come back.

Bit disappointed

We booked at the restaurant for 8pm a few days before we arrived so I was disappointed when we turned up when they didn’t have a table for us and had to quickly put one together at the edge of the eating area. We ordered a steak and fish. We were told after ordering the steak that there was none left so ordered something else but were then told there was steak and it had been a mistake by the kitchen staff. We waited quite a while for the main coarse, much to the surprise of the waiter who couldn’t believe it hadn’t arrived when he checked on us. The staff were lovely and the restaurant itself is nice but I’m afraid the food wasn’t that good when it arrived. The steak was fatty and the fish had obviously been stood waiting for the steak so overall we were disappointed with Bar Coral Restaurant.

Returned to the Coral after many year’s absence to find it as much of a pleasure as we left it. The team found us a table swiftly despite its popularity and quickly reminded us why we’d come back with a succession of beautifully cooked, local dishes accompanied by a well priced, well chosen wine. Make time to visit and you won’t be disappointed.

Excellent Mallorcan food and lovely staff

We visited for lunch on our last day as a family of 5. Lovely atmosphere, only seconds from the beach. Staff were friendly and helpful (even allowing us to order a half portion of grilled prawns for my little boy). They also offered to shell the prawns for my children (they refused as that's part of the fun!) We had Hake and tumbet which was excellent, the tumbet is well worth ordering with whatever you choose! Would definitely visit again when back in Mallorca.

We came here with our family

We came here with our family on the recommendation of friends and reviews. We were not disappointed. In fact it was one of the most relaxed meals we have experienced in PP. The food was exceptional and I highly recommend the stuffed aubergine with peppercorn sauce or slow cooked lamb, both cooked to perfection. Staff were exceptionally warm, family run. I recommend asking Jordi for the specials of the day. Kids already asking when we are going back; which is a great recommendation in my books 👍

Fabulous evening meal

Even on an exceptionally busy night the food and service was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble and we were asked numerous times if all was OK and did we need anything. Highly recommend. Steak was cooked to perfection (just the way I asked for it) and the sauce was so tasty that hubby had to remove my plate before I licked it clean.
