Visited The Butterleigh Inn with my wife and a friend. Someone told me you had to be lost to find it and he was correct.....However it was on the whole worth the effort.....Food was good apart from the batter on my wife's fish which was a bit underdone and soggy but she didn't mention that until the end of the... Sunday lunches are superb with a choice of three roast meats together with lovely freshly cooked vegetables. Pretty well a weekly visit for us.

I have never been somewhere where service has been so bad, had to request someone take our order after 45 minutes of having the menu, (bearing in mind that although there were a few people eating in the bar we were the only table in the restaurant!) and the waitresses were busy chatting to each other at the bar in... Thank you for your comments. For the sake of accuracy, I would point out that our till record shows that you purchased your first round of drinks on arrival at 1935 (you were actually booked to dine at 1930) and that your food order was put through the till at 2002, which by my reckoning is 27 minutes, already 18... Excellent steaks and burgers etc in the bar with an extensive specials board. A broader menu is available in the restaurant. Good selection of real ales and wines. Can't vouch for most of the menu items because I know the quality of the steaks and always plumped for one of those.

A lovely old pub (400 years) in the Devon Countryside. Variety of ales and a good selection of wine. The typically pub food was well presented and tasty.

This is a lovely place to stop off at and eat lunch or you can book dinner on some evenings, with the walk around the village and over the famous bridge, Bickleigh Mill thought is famous for food/gifts and also sitting and admiring the landscape.
