First class pint until it ran out. Good beer to a point but best there is in Bembridge. Service friendly without there being a patron. Food was sound without a wow factor - but very enjoyable. Overall the best the 'village' has.

A quick lunchtime visit to check out the place convinced us that an evening visit would be good. This decision was largely based on the cheerful, friendly girl behind the bar - what a star! Her welcome was warm when we arrived in the evening...More

So glad you enjoyed it, apologies about the Mussels, we buy them in fresh everyday, not frozen like others, so quantities depend on a number of factors and they get sold out quickly. If you come again you can always phone ahead and reserve the...More

We didn't actually eat or drink here but we were somewhat stranded with no signal and the girl behind the bar was really really friendly- she phoned a couple of taxis for us and helped us with the bus times which we really appreciated!

We ate here early on a Saturday evening. The food was lovely and the staff very friendly. The home breaded scampi was delicious.

Thank you, we make our own scampi, rather than buying it frozen like most places, and we sell out of it all the time!! Glad you liked it, Best George

The Pilot Boat Inn was recommended to me by others and it was also recommended by the local press. I was dissapointed with the quality of the food as well as the surroundings. The cost of the wine was expensive at £17.50 per bottle, which...More

Had a walk around the marina and stopped for a drink in this pleasant bar. Was fairly empty but it looked ideal when you could sit outside and see part of the bay.

The home made burger was excellent. The service was first class with a very efficient, young and friendly team. My only criticism would be the noise level while the restaurant was full. This is due to the hard surfaces and lack of soft furnishings. I...More

Thank you, glad you enjoyed it. We do get very busy, and hence quite noisy, lots of holidaymakers mixing with locals leads to a lively vibrant atmosphere! Tends to be a bit quieter midweek, Best George

Very ordinary pub food .Large open space with no atmosphere. Fish and chips and Hunters chicken were ok but the Pilot Mess for sweet was summer fruits and cream with hardly any meringue.More

Hi Frank, Thanks for the review, obviously slightly difficult to answer when so few specifics, but please contact the pub and ask for me and we can rectify whatever wasn't quite right. Can't do too much about the layout of the pub, it is what...More

The restaurant has a very basic atmosphere and we didn't stay for Sunday lunch but whilst staying there the food we had was okay but nothing special , Sunday lunch maybe different.
