Our second visit and just as good as the first. A warm welcome awaits in this lovely country pub, superb food, cooked to order, piping hot, such generous portions and every bite was delicious. Great customer service too. Recommend booking as very busy even on...a wet and windy dayMore

huge pub ..don't sit by the door.

excellent pub in the village of Parkham. Nightmare to get to down some dubious country roads (expect zombie cows) but worth a visit. Missus had her usual fish & chips and I had the steak in ale pie both were excellent and plenty of it...served on hot plates. The only drawback was we were seated near the door and it was blowing a gale and lashing down so we were regularly chilled so could've done with the log fires being lit.Apart from that it was a solid evening.More

Great food

We were in Bideford for a week with friends. We ate at this lovely little friendly pub three times. Two evening meal times and a Sunday lunch. The food was very good indeed. The staff were blooming fabulous. We were staying in a holiday let...opposite the pub... So very convenient!More

Fab food and doggie friendly !

Found this pub by chance while looking for somewhere to escape the midday heat with the dog and have a bite to eat. What a lucky find !! Such a friendly, welcoming place not just for doggies but their 'hoomans'too. The food was delicious, so...tasty and the portions were great, some of the best pub food we had had in a while. You may have to set your sat nav to find it but it is definitely worth the effort, you won't be disappointed...we weren't and will definitely return.More

Superb Sunday Lunch

On holiday and no more than 80 mtrs from The Bell Inn, so 7 of my family rocked up for Sunday lunch. Staff were very accommodating and friendly, the food was cooked superbly and tasted delicious. It’s very easy to mess up a Sunday roast...and I’ve had some bad ones. However, this definitely wasn’t messed up. The best we’ve ever had and great value for money. You will not be disappointed if you give it a visit. You have been told!More

Fantastic family meal!

This is a gem of pub. Visited on our way back from the Milky Way and were greeted with an excellent welcome. Menu is excellent and great value too. The food however, is even better! We'll be back when visiting North Devon again

Sisters Birthday Meal

Celebrated my sisters birthday with a meal at The Bell Inn. Great service, staff ever so attentive, friendly and accommodating. Great menu with home cooked food. Highly recommended going as you want be disappointed

Won derful food and service .

Very welcoming, good service and outstanding food especially the homemade steak pies and amazing chips. . All 7 of our party were delighted with their meals. It was my son' s 16th birthday and the land lady was extremely pleasant and happy to bring put...the cake etc. Highly recommended . Well above the average pub grub. Thanks very much.More

Best Sunday lunch in North Devon

Sunday lunch with my family covering quite an age range fro 8 -74 we all thoroughly enjoyed it.choice of meats, great selection of vegetables and huge Yorkshire puddings. Not forgetting the lovely desserts. Staff were great, we will return.

Excellent

Disappointing food quality but seemed nice In itself

Nice pub, nice staff, nice ambience. Inedible onion rings... So greasy. Didn't bother with the chips after a couple , not worth eating. Very expensive steak was overcooked, underseasoned and dry. Didn't stay for pudding. Went to get a star bar on the way home...insteadMore

Excellence

Excellent service from the start, a pleasant phone call to book our table, very accommodating with our family which includes our dog. Our food was perfect and staff were attentive and polite and so welcoming to us all. We wish it was local to us...as we would definitely return. Fab food and very dog friendly

Delicious food, friendly staff and very dog friendly. Would definitely recommend. Just beware of crazy van drivers on route as roads very narrow.
