After reading the reviews on trip advisor we decided to go to the Bell Inn as we were staying close by for the half term with the children. Arrived at 6.45pm and placed our order quiet quickly and the pub was reasonably quiet. 45 minutes later our starers arrived which were all cold except one - over priced and no... More

Excellent food, you can tell it is all home cooked from fresh. I have eaten here several times now and cannot fault the place and recommend to all my friends. Staff are friendly too.

We ended up at this inn as we were on our last night of our holiday and had driven past it on our way home from fishing .it seemed OK when we first walked in although the girl behind the bar seemed more interested in carrying on with some sort of menus than actually serving us .however the menu looked... Very friendly and cozy village pub. The food and service are excellent. Would especially recommend the Sunday roasts. Also would suggest you make Sunday reservations especially in the high season as you will be competing for seating from both locals and holidayers.

We first discovered this wonderful pub in September 2015 when staying in the area, we loved it so much that we couldn't wait to visit again on our return to the area. Needless to say, once more we were not disappointed with the choice of meals available, friendliness of the staff, speed of service, quality of food or the friendliness... More

Lovely setting in a little village. We all had a lovely meal here. I had chicken breast topped with crispy bacon and Devon blue cheese. It came with chips and peas. The chicken was very moist and chips were amazing. Everyone said how good their meals were and how much they enjoyed it . All the staff were very welcoming... More

Went here for a family birthday dinner whilst on holiday in the local area. The pub interior felt homely, the locals were incredibly welcoming, the service was friendly and the food was of a good standard. All in all it was a nice pub to visit. There is not much else to see close by, so I wouldn't travel too... More

After a very friendly welcome we had a good lunch. The food was appetising. An excellent vegetarian option and tasty if a bit tough pheasant. The best chips we have had anywhere for ages.A pub that seems to care about its beer too.

Thank you for your review, we appreciate your comments and are glad you spared time to write about our welcoming and caring staff. We apologise if the pheasant was over cooked and we have taken steps to ensure it doesn't happen again. More

We had delicious food served piping hot for 18. Portion sizes were generous and food was of very high quality. We all had roast dinner and meat was tender and vegetables varied and most importantly not over cooked. It was a great way to have a relaxed extended family get together with someone else doing all the hard work. Very... More
