A wonderful place we have been to many times, where all food is prepared freshly and there are many vegan options. Olive oil is used instead of ghee so the food is healthier too. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful, and genuinely interested in giving their customers a good dining experience and excellent value for money. Thank you!

We have not visited this restaurant before so this was a lovely surprise to find this great place on our doorstep.
the waiter and manager were very good and made us feel particularly welcome .
The dishes were explained to us so we knew what to choose and the meals accompaniments were really good .
The onion bargees were enormous and good for sharing .
My husband had the Prawn Korma which he said was the best he has ever had . The chicken Dopiaza was also really good and the portion sizes were very generous .
This is not a cheap place however because the quality and portion sizes are good it does represent good value for money .
The restaurant itself is well styled and the whole atmosphere friendly and comfortable.
-- now we have discovered it we will return.

A big thank you to Shakib and all of the staff for a perfect evening. Every time we are here , we are treated like VIP's. I had my 50 th birthday here this year and it was perfect in every way. All of the staff are hardworking, thoughtful, helpful , friendly and to me world class service , food and atmosphere. The food is to die for . One of my favourite dishes is Tandoori Monkfish which is so delicious and full of flavour and sublime. The question you have to ask yourself is why haven't you been here to experience perfection personified from the time you walk in and receive the best welcome you can ever had to dining there and even just as you leave , you are treated so well you feel so special. This is a must for everyone to dine here.

Having moved to Binfield 2 months ago and tried 3 (highly rated) local Indian takeaways that were awful, I was about to give up.
Then I came across Haweli and I’m so glad! The food was delicious and I have officially found my favourite (hopefully forever) local Indian takeaway. I ordered chicken biryani with a vegetable side dish which they made extra spicy for me, chicken tikka masala and a peshwari naan. Couldn’t fault any dish, flavoursome, fresh and very reasonably priced.
Looking forward to visiting the restaurant next time.

We were very excited to be booked in for our anniversary after visiting two weeks ago....however, on being seated and the table not even being ready for a table for two as reserved online, then ordered a bottle of wine and a beer, after ten minutes one glass of wine arrived and a beer and all glasses removed (now these things happen, we are all human and perhaps they had someone training ) so we tentatively/politely asked that we had ordered a bottle of wine, and with this the glass of wine is taken away leaving nothing on the table for a further ten minutes... after much confusion it finally came. Our popedom's came and we were most happy, yet after an hour from ordering our mains, and seeing yet other people who came after us enjoying their meal we began to wonder. Now this is where I have the biggest problem, instead of realising their mistake and simply just apologises for their mistake, owning up that they had forgot the order or it was a particularly tough evening they came up with with the poor excuse that everyone else had ordered starters and they must be served first ??? and that this restaurant is fully booked and the best in "Twyford" and we were told that we were lucky to be here. They also expected anyone who was in their over-flow area would be expected to stay there till about 11pm so they thought it best to leave us. At this point I really could not believe what I was hearing and was totally insulated by their ignorance, please do not get me wrong, being very local to the area, we were very much hoping to enjoy a good relationship with this restaurant and continue to return, but I am so sorry to say I would never give my business to this restaurant again, or recommend or bring any clients to this establishment. I could not guarantee their etiquette, as it clearly was not there in my case. Furthermore I paid my £69.00 and left. Two weeks ago I paid the bill of £65.00 and tipped the waiter £10.00.

Ordered online to pick up a takeaway, when getting order out at home, realised peshwari naan missing. Rang to report expecting a refund and apology, but was extremely impressed when the gentleman said he’d drop it round and was with us within 10-15 mins meaning meal was that much more enjoyable. This excellent customer service has most definitely encouraged us to return.

Very poor experience. I was here for a meal to celebrate my birthday with my partner. The service was dreadful. The staff do not understand basic silver service yet alone how to be polite to customers. Food was below average. I got the bill it was £65 for just 3 dishes and naan bread and one small glass of wine. The bill should have been £50.45!!! I complained that i was overcharged by and cheated by over £15 no apologies just a grunt and bad attitude from the waiter. I asked to speak to the manager. I was told he was one of the owners.. very rude arrogant did not make eye contact and no sincere apologies just excuses. Will be reporting this restaurant to West Berkshire Trading Standards. Please check your bills before paying. If I could rate this experience with a zero I would!

I have been meaning to leave this review for a while, to say that the Twyford Haweli is absolutely wonderful. Since living in Twyford I have regularly enjoyed great take-aways from the Haweli. The food is delicious, and the service is prompt and friendly.
More recently I have come to appreciate the Haweli on greater level. Since becoming involved in school charity events The Haweli has delivered to our fairs, run take away deals and hosted our curry nights. Every time Raj and his team have been completely reliable and have generously donated to our cause. Not only this, I have found Raj to be extremely helpful and flexible- a tall order when you are delivering high quality food to large groups. This family run business is so much more than a great restaurant and take-away service. They are a huge asset to our community and I can’t wait to enjoy another meal there again soon.

I have never wrote a review on here before and I have never wanted to but this time I will make an exception. We have always loved this restaurant and have been coming here for at least 15 years and the food has always been amazing and I’m sure it still is most of the time but last night we visited and the food was really really bad. The chicken dish was over cooked , dry with no flavour, onion bhaji we sent back twice as they were also rock hard & dry ,it was a really disappointing experience and when we complained, they sent for the manager who we waited for for 20 minutes and when he arrived the way he spoke to us was shocking, in the end he told the waiters to take the food away .. When we paid (for the starter & drinks , we refused to pay for the rest ) the manager threw the receipt at us and walked away .
We were so disappointed as we have loved this restaurant for so many years .

Firstly many thanks for your support for the last 15 years in your aforementioned review.
If I may take this opportunity to go thru your dissatisfaction at your visit on Monday 03/07/2023.
We have been a local establishment serving the community for the last 28 years and it is not in our interest to knowingly give underwhelming food and service.
If our guests do not enjoy our cuisine or hospitality we do our utmost to rectify the situation.
Having reviewed the cctv footage it appears the very dishes that you were unhappy with both were consumed with little to nothing left. When we asked if everything was ok you complained about the Onion Bhajee. Which we promptly replaced.
Sadly, your stance at the end was of non payment for all the food consumed by which point there was a fault with every item served in addition to unsatisfactory service. We don’t add any service charge and it is purely up to the guests to decide wether the visit is worthy of a service charge.
Local businesses like ours have had an increase in complaints even when the food has been consumed. This kind of behaviour is contributing to 5 restaurants closing per day in the UK.
I’m sure many of our regulars would agree when we don’t hit our high standards we will do everything possible to put things right.
Our team that have been serving @ Haweli have been with us for years and they have a vested interest. It is our mission with every guest that visits us that they become our friend.
It is very sad that you feel the need to portray our business and team in a negative light. This does no good for the local high street scene.
Im sure those that have frequented our establishment like yourselves would stand up and support Haweli as supporting local charities, events, schools and other establishments has been a very fruitful relationship.
You state you have been frequenting for 15 years. If that really is the case and you believe we fell short on one occasion - did it warrant the stance you took? We hope that you can reflect on your comments and maybe come in to discuss this personally.

We have past this restaurant many times and decided to pop in and see what it was like . We opted for the set meal for four and could probably have shared a set meal for two between the four of us: there was so much food and it was all absolutely delicious, especially the Dahl which was just melt in your mouth moorish. An Indian friend who was with us was very impressed.
The setting was sumptuous and comfortable and the place is obviously popular as it was packed.
Teh staff were very helpful and friendly and we couldn't have asked for more.

We went to Haweli for the first time on 15 February 2023. I was immediately impressed with the reception / waiting area. The dining room is very smart - linen tablecloths and quality napkins, and I should say the courtesy shown by the staff is exemplary. The traditional poppadoms and pickles arrived as fast as the drinks and a generous amount. The menu is wide and varied. I chose a mild king prawn curry and it was first class. The bill for 4 with drinks was £130 which seemed very reasonable. They kindly gave us liqueurs on the house which was a nice touch. This was altogether an excellent place for dinner.

Amazing night again!
Came here with my family for a special birthday treat and what a treat it was. It was a busy Saturday evening and the atmosphere was great.
Staff all very friendly and nothing was too much for them.
They even surprised my daughter with a lovely birthday cake and a box of chocolates which was very unexpected but made it extra special. Lovely food - can’t wait to come back soon.

Excellent food and service. Best Indian food l’ve ever had. Thoroughly recommend this place.Went for a birthday celebration and was really impressed by the range of dishes both meat and vegetarian.Staff friendly and attentive, made to feel special.

Food is delicious, Haweli never fails to impress! The service is impeccable, and the people are warm and accommodating.
My brother who has spent a lifetime cooking and eating curry said it's probably the best curries he's ever had.
Good for families, date nights, little ones, every occasion.
There's a completely different approach to the way they do things, you can tell the difference when someone takes their craft seriously.
They also look after the little ones very well.
During the lockdown when everyone panic bought all the food I was pretty desperate and ended up placing a large order, something like 7 mains + 7 rice + naan, it came to like roughly £76 and I was like.. hold on a second.. I have 14 meals here, half rice half main. Average price £5.50. That's street food prices but much better quality.
I was profusely thanking them for staying open because well I was struggling to buy food, when Ali said they were told that the hospital workers were putting in double shifts because of COVID and not eating properly or being able to buy food so they were donating meals to the hospital.
I was like... damn you.. right in the feels.....
Like I said earlier, 5 star food, 5 star service, 5 star people.

The food at Haweli was absolutely fantastic! had a great time with friends and the service was great with the staff being really friendly. My family has also ordered a couple of times for delivery and the food always arrives really quickly.
