Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Walk the dog round the lake and then stop here for a pint. Very nice pub with friendly staff. You can park in the pub car park for free while you walk the dog as long as you call in.

The Waggon & Horses were the hosts for the wake of a Twyford local. Richard and the team were amazing, so attentive and supportive and they put on a great event. It’s a great, friendly family welcoming pub and I would recommend it. Thank you...Richard and the Team.More

As pubs should be! Top ales unfussy inside with a beautiful rear garden complete with wonky house for the children. Also parakeets! Take (drag) your kids round the beautiful and interesting Loddon reserve ( we photographed Herons, black caps tufted ducks Canada geese and the...extremely elusive Cetti Warbler amongst others). Promise them a drink bag of crisps with a play in the wonky house after whilst you review your photos. Perfect afternoon!More

Visited with some friends for a few drinks and a catch up. Ended up staying and enjoying a superb roast! The food was great and all the staff were amazing and very welcoming! The pub itself is lovely with a great atmosphere and the garden...was lovely in between the cloudy spells.More

There is a prevailing smell of dogs when entering the pub and the eclectic mixture of pub memorabilia and pop group posters decorating the walls is confusing. Unfortunately everything is a bit grubby maybe due to all the dogs roaming around inside. Food was ok...and arrived quickly and staff friendly however will not return due to cleanliness issues.More

Signs state to wait for service at table outside. Group of nine with some eventually served with long wait at bar but on enquiring young girl confirmed she would come to us……no one came despite only one other table occupied in large garden. This resulted...in three of the group going without any drink. Reading the reviews on food could not understand why two ladies were refused tea or coffee. How can any struggling pub / restaurant adopt this stance in today’s climate? Two of the beers were on point of turning and based on this visit will avoid in the future. The huge garden has so much potential!!!More

Fantastic Sunday lunch with my 4 year old and a friend - lamb was great and the 3 meat roast even filled my mates stomach! Smaller portion size wasideal for my son - fire roaring and a pint of Guinness was the perfect Sunday.

Having been a patron of this pub over the years, I was able to partake in a roast. What a treat! Having read recent reviews, as I do, I asked a few local friends and decided the experience of disgruntled reviewer was a one off....I was not disappointed. The selection on offer was as other similar establishments, but what was different was the quality of the cooking. One of my measures of a good roast dinner is the roasties themselves and Yorkshires... I was extremely happy and couple that with moist, tasty beef... Very happy. Now my dad likes value for money and the portion sizes are more than enough. All in all, great value for money and I will be back. The beer is great and the staff are lovely... What's not to like :)More

Amazing..venue, service, drinks and food! We had our wedding reception here on the weekend just gone. Richard, Stuart and team were an absolute pleasure to work with during the planning and really went the extra mile to ensure that our day was perfect. The pub...and garden looked great, the team engaged with our guests in a really positive way, making everybody feel welcome and comfortable. Table service was fantastic...nobody had to wait for a refill. The canapes and pizzas were enjoyed by everybody (particularly the mini Katsu curry!) and an amazing day/evening was had by all. Several of our guests will definitely be coming to the pub again for a drink and some food in the future. Thanks again to Richard, Stuart and the whole Team at the Waggon & Horses. See you soon.More

Had Sunday lunch at this pub today. A proper roast with three meats, Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes and veggies. What held it together, in my opinion, was the gravy, it was delicious. Good value too. The beer garden at the rear is massive and full...of beautiful flowers. There is a play house for smaller children.More
