We had dinner yesterday evening with the whole family. Three generations from one year to 71. The staff were great and looked after all of us very well. The food was really nice, my steak was cooked just as I asked. The staff really cannot...do enough for you at this restaurant, they are always so nice and accommodating. We stayed in Cricklade for 5 days,we found The Red Kion on the first night just for a drink. The wife was in heaven, she's a coeliac, lot's of ales brewed on site, 8 on at the time, 3 of which were gluten free. It's...aproper pub that does fabulous food and serves excellent beers.More

Great pub in a lovely location near the town centre but convenient to canal paths and field trails. Good food at sensible prives and an excellent range of beers, some brewed on the premises. Staff are super accommodating and friendly.

Went to the yearly beer festival as usual… good selection of beers… felt that the £10 entry fee- which gave you a plastic beaker- was not quite worth the value…

Friendly and efficient staff. It was very pleasant in the garden. We had the mussels from the specials menu and they were delicious.

Very surprised to read someone's review claiming homophobia. Having stayed here numerous times with my husband (and once on my own separately - as it's my venue of choice when visiting the area or working in Swindon!) I find the staff and the locals very...friendly. There's a good atmosphere with laughs and banter and the food is excellent. The food was amazing, the chef clearly exceptional and passionate about the food, this isn't just run of the mill pub food. We each had 3 course and chose different items from the menu.
