The last poster remarked that they had an average meal and it's hard to disagree. Wissant is a small and sleepy seaside town fifteen minutes drive from Calais and on the road towards Boulogne, and we visited there as part of a group of Citroen 2CV owners. I went with a friend who wasn't used to attempting food a bit... More

Popular brasserie away from the main bustle. Pretty busy took a while to get a menu but after that initial start there was no problem with the service. Had moulles with chips and found little baby crabs in the shells which shows the moulles aren't farmed! Though it put me off. My husband ordered a steak and ended up with... More

We stopped off in Wissant for lunch on our way to Le Touquet, as it is a nice little seaside town. We ate in Chez Edwige, which is a typical French bistro. My husband had a tomato salad, followed by steak and chips. I just had a vegetable salad starter, which was perfect - with some bread - for lunch.... More

Chez Edwige is a great favourite of our in our village in northern France, the table d'hote items are always good value (if there are any left!) and the rest is freshly cooked and excellent portions. Do not be put off by steak hache a cheval it is not horse meat but burger with an egg on top!

I've often stayed in the B&B run by the same family (no frills but comfortable and good value) but now always eat at this brasserie when I'm in Wissant. I have been a frequent visitor to France for many years and love the kind of simple, wholesome food Edwige serves. The menu is extensive, nothing is expensive, even at the... More

We have been visiting here for many many years and just love the food. The restaurant is frequented mainly by locals, which shows how good it is. The food is a very reasonable price. The staff are friendly and very helpful. I just love their steak, and my husband has never had better moules (mussels) than he has eaten there.

I live only 10 kms. from Wissant and whenever friends from overseas visit me, I usually take them for a meal Chez Edwige. Off-season, this is a quiet family-run eatery providing fresh seafood and other dishes to mainly local French diners. High Season, the place becomes an international beehive with the same good food being served to many Belgian, Dutch... More

Both taste and quality of the food were even worse than the food I used to eat at a canteen as a student. It seemed as if they used ok ingredients but they were clearly poorly prepared. Presentation on the plate looked as if it was done by a 10-year-old.
