We followed a friend's car who knew how to go to this auberge/restaurant tucked deep in the woods. We had to go slowly through the narrow streets (?) of a magical hamlet. Arrived at the parking and a short walk to the restaurant with a...More

Camping nearby we read the trip adviser reviews for this Auberge and booked well in advance. It didn't disappoint. The menu is seasonal and based on the home grown and killed produce of the area. The meal began with a large jug of home made...More

We had Sunday lunch at Auberge de Layotte and had a wonderful meal. It was a menu of traditional Périgueux offerings and everything was outstanding. We were very happy with the service as well as the food. Thank you for a wonderful meal.

We visited this restaurant in a large group and whilst it did cater for our number (we took over the whole place), I wasn't that impressed with the food. I would describe it as peasants faire and whilst I like wholesome dishes I do like...More

We have a house nearby and have been to Auberge de Layotte several times with friends and family. The menu hardly varies from year to year, and this is both the strength and the weakness of the restaurant. The chef makes everything from scratch, the...More
