Excellent friendly and welcoming pub. Great atmosphere and very well kept bar. Good selection of well cooked food. I can certainly recommend this pub.

We visited on a Saturday afternoon where there was a lovely laid -back atmosphere, good food, great service with a smile and loved the wine bottle chandelier!

Dropped by for lunch for the second time. Pub has a lot of character and looks like it was built around the 1900s. Many original fittings and suberbly and lovingly restored. Food is served in an annex with about 6 tables. Had a pizza which...could have come out of Naples. Chewy with the freshest of ingredients. The Mrs had the duck confit and was as crisp as anything. The chef certainly knows his stuff. Portions were huge and had no space for desserts. Pub has a beer garden at the back and there is free parking. Staff were a cheery lot. I will be back.More

Really nice, home-cooked Italian food (pizzas and pie were great!). Bit of a mixed setup in traditional pub and restaurant and the homemade Nutella ice cream wasn't to our taste...great for the price though and real quality food

Not eaten here before. I’d driven past it for years thinking It was simply a pub, Then I read on TA that this place had a great Italian menu. Well they’re right! I am not entirely on board with the decor. We were a table...of 4 food lovers. We were seated to the side of the bar in a tiny dining area. But when the food arrived we didn’t care. It was delicious! The seafood pasta, carbonara and cod loin were all fresh, wholesome and consumed with pleasure. Two of us had the Arancini to start. My only criticism was that these were very filling, perhaps a bar snack size so we were quite full already before the main course arrived! Our waitress, a Sicilian herself, provided good food recommendations. The service was attentive without being distracting - water was replaced on the table without asking - for me a sign of care and genuine hospitality, Well Done The Imperial. We do have two vegans in the family who weren’t with us the night we visited the Imperial. I am not certain there is sufficient choice on the current menu to return with our full family but for the four non vegans in the family this is a great choice. In balance, a vegan friend has since told me that the Imperial will go out of their way to cater for them when they visit with friends. So no need to avoid but perhaps not a first choice.More

I have been to The Imperial Pub many times and have always had a lovely experience, they serve decent beers, lagers and ales and the Italian food the serve is delicious, the staff are always very attentive and the place is lovely and clean, I...can highly recommend one of the specials pizzas they serve called 'Tom's Special' I believe its named after one of the OAP's who frequent the pub, definitely worth a try. I will be returning, Thankyou once again.More

we walk in without any booking on a sunday afternoon. the place was very full, but the staff and the manager were very polite and told us that they could sit us in 15/20min. we had a drink and as soon as somebody left we...were sitting in a comfortable position. we shared a starter of crescentine (fried pieces of pizza dough) as they do in Bologna, as main we had a pizza. the experience was very positive, the pizza was very good (as you could have found in any pizzeria in Italy). I definitely going to come back and try other food I saw a fish soup in the menu that look very interestingMore

Great food, good service, nice atmosphere, good beers on draught, recommended. Some tables are near the loos, however.

Went with family for an anniversary meal. Quick and friendly service from staff. Unfortunately, with the exception of arancini ball starters the food was quite poor. Maybe an off day but wouldn’t go back for food.
