Went for quick lunch, as the place was recommended by a local friend. Upon entering you feel you have entered a typical Sicilian movie set. Martin Scorsese could make a movie about this restaurant. As we sat down we were offered a Hard Boiled Egg and a shot of Zibibbo, which is a stronger form or Marsala wine. this is... More

While vacationing in Sicily in September, we had lunch at Don Ciccio's restaurant. This was one of the best meals EVER. All of the dishes are made from family recipes passed down to current owner and great grandchild. The food is Excellent. You start the meal with a boiled egg and Zubbibbo (a sweet Sicilian wine). We ordered caponata, pasta... More

We arrived to Bagheria especially to visit Don Ciccio and the stop worth it. It's not a Michelin star restaurant but it's a great traditional trattoria, open from 1942/3 and still authentic place. We had caponata fava for starter, 2 green salads, pasta with sardines which is one of the house specialities and fresh tomato and basil pasta. Half bottle... More

We were attracted to this restaurant because my brother in law has met the owner's relatives in Michigan, USA, and we wanted to try a restaurant which was more upscale than a pizzeria. This restaurant was very nice inside, with friendly faces and wonderful service. They serve authentic Sicilian food, lots of sardine dishes, lamb and pork chops, swordfish. We... More

One of the best place in Bagheria. I go there very often and I like the atmosphere but mostly the Sicilian food. I highly would recommended this restaurant for locals but mostly for foreign people. It is a true Sicilian food experience! My suggestion is choosing "Pasta con le Sarde". the most popular Sicilian dish. And the best according to... More

Don't be put off by the rather drab back streets of Bagheria. This is a fabulous restaurant serving excellent quality Sicilian dishes. We went on a Tuesday night and it was buzzing. Loved the quirky appetiser of boiled egg and Vin Santo. We recommend the pasta with sardines and the swordfish rolls, and the local wine at 3 euros per... More

We drove from the domina correl to Don Ciccio in about 15 minutes.the service was amazing the staff so attentive but respectfully distant, the décor was fascinating and every mouthful of food was delightful - I cant recommend this restaurant highly enough - don't be fooled by a small front entrance the restaurant opens up into a cavernous space full of... This place is an experience. Fantastic atmosphere and full of locals as well as other Sicilians who apparently travel vast distances to eat here. The menu is small, no specials, just a photo menu with short multi language explanations of the dishes. Food was superb. The house speciality pasta with sardines was a joy, full of amazing fennel flavours. We... More

Sig Santo, Don Ciccio's son and his 2 sons today run this trattoria that has been around for decades; and nothing seems to have changed. Dishes are recreated according to mamas and are as delicious today as they were 50 years ago. All patrons are served with a hard boiled egg with a shot of sweet local wine when seated.... More
