Worse chips ever in my life! Would avoid this place. No exaggeration when I say the most disgusting chips I’ve ever tasted. If a chip pie can’t make chips, it should be shut down. Shocking.
We deicide to go for a carryout when passing through Balloch, I asked for a fish and chips, and a couple of other suppers, I was asked large or small fish, I went for the large, but when went a found a parking space, opened...the fish supper thinking it might have been a fish and half fish, but just looked like a normal fish and chips, I heard the person after me asking for a small one, maybe I got the tourist one same size different priceMore
Me and my boyfriend visited the shop after a hike up the cobbler, starving we decided to visit for dinner! due to covid there was a wait to get in, understandable. However, when it was our turn to order we asked for a pizza without...a hi or a welcome we were returned with a sarcastic “no” later agreed that one could be made we then asked for a chicken nugget supper and weren’t felt welcomed at all by this older woman. We waited 20 minutes for our food to be told that the pizza had been dropped and there was no more dough left, angry to say the least. We then were asked if we wanted anything else and we said about potato fritters but again where told no. No sympathy or consideration for the fact we’d been waiting for our pizza, no money or offer of anything else was given and ended up paying £8.30 for a chicken nugget supper!! went across the road to the pizza place, will not be back, horrible experience and a terrible service with a terrible manner.More
On hols and hankering for a good old fashioned fish & chips carry out - was certainly not disappointed - ordered 2 single fish/large chip and of course 2 x pickle onion...freshly cooked and delicious.......portion size is large but then it did cost a bit...more than at home @ £15 but it was really good....Covid restrictions being adherred to and carry out spotless.....well done!More
This was our first visit and ordered online which worked very well. My wife who is coeliac was desperate to try the gf fish and chips which are like hens teeth to find. Our fish looked spot on, batter perfect and she thoroughly enjoyed. I...had a single black pudding which was the biggest I’ve had, probably about a foot long. Probably had slightly better on quality but couldn’t argue with what was served. Overall a pretty good experienceMore
We find ourselves in difficult times But your visit to Palombos in Balloch is an absolute must They handled the social distance to perfection Our Fish and Unbattered Sausage was done to order and without a shadow of doubt got my first 10 out of...10 for a long long while Your service was impeccable, although the young girl that served us initially needs to gain more confidence she, I presume went on a break and was taken over by an extremely high-quality lady who I think has done her position for years and knows her trade inside out Thank you for being open in these unprecedented times and good luck Also across the road is a great carpark and amenities for younger children with lots of seating areas dotted around the areaMore
Always a place to stop when we arrive for our holiday, Best special fish ever & fritters are to die for ... Great when we get together usually 10-12 of us!!! Never disappoints ... great value ... They also have a restaurant next door if...you want to eat in.More
We really fancied some fish n chips and were not disappointed! Best chips I’ve had in ages. Good fresh tasty. Staff super friendly and went out of their way to give the children what they asked for. We liked the little booths to sit in.
Good chippy, theyve been around nearly 100 years so they kinda know what they are doing lol. Good food lots of choices prices reasonable perfect to stop in on a chilly february night
