Took my daughter here for dinner last Friday night and had my first bad experience with The Raj - so much so after many years of eating in and getting takeaways from here - we will not return. We arrive at 6.25 - table booked...for 6.30- had our order taken and at 7.30pm i asked the waiter if we had been fogotten - immediately our starter came out and didnt taste right - i left mine - then the main course came out stone cold - not even lukewarm but freezing cold! the waiter tried to justify this by saying the kitchen were doing their best and it had been on hot hold - they werent and it wasnt - we were charged for our drinks and poppadums and we left - having been a customer for many many years, to have your expierence shrugged off was a little shocking - sorry Raj we wont be backMore

We moved to the area last summer and discovered Raj's restaurant. We now go as often as we can. The food is outstanding and very reasonably priced. We highly recommend it.

Best Indian restaurant I have ever visited. I have been coming to the Raj for over 20 years, my 2 sons have grown up eating raj’s food. Great food, friendly staff, and a great owner..

Went here for a meal with a friend last night and have no complaints at all. The service was friendly and efficient and the food was very good but could not quite finish it all as we were so full by the end of it,...very enjoyable eveing and have never had a bad meal here in all the years we have dined here. . After ordering online from their app, ordering for the family at 7.30pm. Food was meant to be delivered by 8.14pm. By 9.15pm still no food!! Neither phone lines being answered and despite messages being left, absolutely no response from them at all!! Family member on...the way down there to “discuss” the poor service and request a refund. 100% will NOT be using them ever again, we will take our trade elsewhere!!!More

Been a few months since we all last ate at the Raj. Thankfully we wont be away for that long again. The food was fantastic like we remember and the staff are always attentive.

Good is very good generally. The service, however, is awful. Take away is almost guaranteed to be 30minutes or longer later than the time stated. I have turned up late before to counteract and it was still another 30 mins. I can only presume they...don’t start takeaways until you turn up. It would be nice if the staff were polite about it but sadly…More

Almost twenty years me and my family have been visiting the Raj. This place is the only good thing about this lockdown and I hope you guys stay safe and continue trading.

I have useing this restaurant on and off for over 15 years. The family had a takeaway last week and the food was really, really good. One of the best Indian food takeaways I have ever had. Well done Raj Cuisine. 5 stars.

We ordered a take away for delivery for our wedding anniversary scheduled for delivery at 7.35. By 7.50 nothing had arrived so tried contacting to see where our food was. Left messages for someone to contact us but no one did. By 8.15 we had...given up hope so ended up with toast and marmite. What a romantic meal!!! E mailed the restaurant but no one bothered to get back to me. Very dissapointed. Won't be ordering from them again!!!More

Went on a Sunday evening where unsurprisingly it was quiet. Our party of 7 all very much enjoyed the starters and main courses. It managed to combine decent food with inexpensive prices, so can be recommended for that. The service wasn't great, though, with very...little enthusiasm shown by the staff, but not rude. The interior could do with a freshening up if they want to push for more upmarket prices. But if they are making a good living from not investing in the decor but concentrating on good, inexpensive food then it hits the mark. Would go again.More

Hideous food. Cheap weirdly cubed chicken that was like an old boot! Didn’t resemble butter chicken in taste or look. Dahl was like tasteless baby food. Pure congealed mush. Reckon they’d cooked the lentils all day? All in the bin. Frozen pizzas in oven. Just...hope we are not sick? Terrible. Don’t botherMore
