The new owners are continuing the high standards already in place. After an evening walk we were ready for a drink and a meal and we weren't disappointed. Aspalls Cider, followed by a perfectly cooked Barnsley Chop, went down very well. The Venison Burger was...More

Well worth the trip from Northampton for a night out at the Cowper Oak. A great range of drinks in the bar with a number of real ales available. Food was amazing, went for the scotch egg starter, then the venison burger and finished off...More

Ate here whilst awaiting for the kitchen to be fixed. Had a good pint of Woodferdes wherry and a Sauvignon blanc. Had two very good meals comprising homemade chicken and mushroom pie and a very good burger. Good value promptly served by friendly staff

Well priced pub meal. Went on a Tuesday night which was pie night. Pie and a drink were the special. Although busy the bar staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The menu was restricted to a few dishes but all the meals provided for four...More

Have to say this is one of the best "pub" meals I have had in a long time. Small menu which means it is all freshly cooked and they have a fish of the day, right up my street. Both our starters and mains were...More

In the bar and the seats at the front of the pub but not in the garden where the children's play area is.

Dogs are allowed in the bar area and garden (there is a separate little playground). There are tables to eat at in both & can be booked ahead. There are also tables out front, where a dog would be allowed.
