We stopped at The Haven after renting a house in the village. The lunch there really sealed the deal. Delicious chowder, wonderful cottage pie and the view out of the restaurant window was gorgeous, even in December!! The server and the other staff were super friendly. It is closed until February 10th 2017 for a short holiday but we anxiously... More

This was our (my wife and myself) first visit to The Haven since the post-fire renovation (tastefully done by the way), indeed our first visit in 4 years! The first pleasant surprise was being greeted by name from Paul B (who we knew from another fine restaurant in Dunmore East). Needless to say that the service for the whole meal... More

I haven't been here since they reopen. Hotel and grounds are stunning. We hadn't made a reservation but we got a table without a problem. I had a stake sandwich and my husband fish and chips. Good portion sizes & very tasty. Will return soon hopefully.

This was our first time holidaying in a hotel as a family of four, it went very well. The staff were a large contributory factor in this, they were very accommodating and understanding of our one and nearly three year old girls. The room wasn't huge but had everything we needed, beds were comfy and the bathroom was huge! It... More

On a random drive, my friend Elaine and I stopped for a coffee and dessert. Well as you can see the desserts were outstanding and as a special treat the Haven randomly gave us two long stemmed roses! Our server Karen (maybe Kara) was just lovely too!! Definitely stop in!!

We booked a table of 10 for Sunday lunch on the previous Tuesday - in person. I was really looking forward to it but was SO very disappointed. They had set up a very narrow table with cheap garden chairs out in an afterthought part of the hotel. We didn't have room to move, never mind eat. When I asked... More

Stayed here recently for a one night family stay to attend a christening. If you happen to be at the haven in dunmore east on a scorching summers day, then there is no better place to meet family and friends for a quiet drink on the lawn overlooking the sea, enjoying the the open air music sessions outside or sampling... We stayed for two nights recently. The welcome we received was second to none. Sharon was more than helpful and is a delight. Our rooms were so clean and comfy (albeit a trifle small) and the bed - well I just didn't want to leave it! The food was scrumptious as was breakfast, served by extremely friendly staff in a...
