Whilst the bookshop, on initial entry, seems quite compact, there is plenty of room to sit and eat whilst others browse the shelves. The staff are both pleasant and welcoming, offering a wide range of snacks and meals. The cakes are to die for and...More

Our plan was to eat lunch her, but thanks to traffic holdups we didn't arrive till just after 2pm. Sadly they stop serving sandwiches etc at 2pm, although staff were openly eating hot food after this time. We did enjoy our coffee and cake, however.

Great lunch/brunch at this bookshop prior to visiting the steam railway (10 mins walk up the road). Friendly staff, tasty light lunches (including gluten free) and of course a big selection of books to browse. Easy access for those in a wheelchair. Will definitely return!

We visit the wee bookshop regularly as they have books and cakes, two of my favourite things, but recently visited specifically for the Mother’s Day afternoon tea. This was really excellent, fantastic cake as always, unlimited tea and even a bunch of daffs each at...More

Visit most weeks for coffee and cake as well as checking out the second hand books. Great choice of cakes. Kids love it too. And all for charity.
