This charming, quirky pub on the outskirts of Fordingbridge is one of our favourites. A lovely atmosphere, great service, lovely food and a friendly welcomes locals and travellers alike.

Its easy to miss this place, which is on the outskirts of Fordingbridge - but don't! Inside is a cosy, friendly pub. Excellent beer, good and not too pricey food, and friendly, welcoming staff. We really enjoyed our visits to the Augustus John.More

Thank you soo much: glad you sought us out. We do suffer a bit because of our location: not central Fordingbridge, not pretty village. Just a badly modernised pub opposite a trading estate. HOWEVER, people seem to like it when they come in AND we...More

I certainly hope we are "not like it use to be" (sic) otherwise there would have been no improvement in over 2 years. We serve Sunday lunch 'til 4 then like a lot of pubs close in the evening and on Mondays. I found chefs...More
