I had a business dinner at Edogin and was thrilled with the experience! The fish was incredibly fresh and the chefs were quick and efficient. This is the real deal!

We searched this place from a Fodors recommendation that turned out to be spot on for quality price for every aspect. Instead of sushi at our formalistic but good Palace Hotel spot we tried this and were so delighted. It is quieter than the gangbusters...More

Congratulations you made it to Tokyo, that means that probably you are looking for something more authentic than a CALIFORNIA ROLL. This place delivers. My wife and I visited early before lunch rush and we were the only tourist during the entire lunch hour. We...More

Truly delicious sushi had at the counter. We asked for the chef's choice (omakase) and a filling lunch for 2 with sake was only 10,000 yen. Highly recommended.

While the location was relatively accessible, in Tsukiji and a short walk from Ginza, the service fell vastly short of expectations. Despite having heard and read glittering reviews of the food, when we went there during just before lunch, the cashier told us "reservation only"....More

Sushi right from Tsukiji. Lunch set is great value at Y1100 and you get Edo-Mae style sushi. Restaurant staff friendly and have menus in English, as well as a sheet of translations on ordering and asking for things while there (water, washroom, what are the...More

I went for a business dinner on a Friday night. It was empty, used to be crowded in the golden "bubble economy " days , we chose a set menu. Some sumono (appetizers in vinegar), chawanmushi(salty pudding), salt grilled ayu(fish), around 12 sushis and a...More

We've been visiting Tokyo for 20 years and this restaurant has proven to be one of the most reliably good sushi & sashimi restaurants. Now somewhat expensive at dinner time, but reliably good.

Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi
Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's
also a downtown area with shops that were founded over
a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury
boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza.
It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll
while the road is closed to traffic. Luxury hotels,
world class cuisine from talented chefs, and a
collection of glitzy clubs will make this area popular
