First time visit - there are only less than ten seats around the chef and another two small tables. The ingradiant is excellent - Edomae tempura style with fresh prawn, vegetables and other seafoods. We noted that the chef keeps two fryers with different temperatures....More

After trying many other tempura restaurants in Tokyo, we decided to give Fukamachi a try because of its reputation of using a super light batter and its specialty - uni tempura wrapped in shiso leaf. Our hotel concierge made the reservation for us and we...More

My second favorite spot for Tempura in Tokyo, and at about USD$70pp for lunch, a good value for Tokyo fine dining. The Tempura batter here is excellent, though not quite as light as I have seen at Uchitsu. Lunch was a 9-10 course meal (there...More

Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's
also a downtown area with shops that were founded over
a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury
boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza.
It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll
while the road is closed to traffic. Luxury hotels,
world class cuisine from talented chefs, and a
