I booked here for dinner after seeing it voted number 1 on trip advisor. Overall, the package is very good. The highlights are the "show" aspect to the meal. In terms of style, it would be difficult to top the creativity, special effects and entertainment value. But in terms of substance, the actual quality of the food does not match... More

Our expectation for the tapas molecular bar was very high and it did not disappoint. The venue itself is incredible, overlooking Tokyo - we could have spent way more time high there. The dinner and drinks were the star of the show, as it should be. There were many courses and lots of highlights, lots of classics with modern interpretation,... More

This was an awesome experience with surprises a every part of the meal. The staff were very friendly and entertaining. The wine pairings were amazing. I mentioned our birthday and they served us a molecular bar style surprise that I will never forget! At the end of the dinner, they also give you an envelope with a list of the... More

Situated within the Mandarin Oriental Hotel on 38th floor. Book early as only 8 seats at the 'bar' with two sittings per night. Interaction with chef Ping and Ashley was brilliant as they explained everything very clearly and in a fun way. The artistry and skill was fantastic, the flavours and experience brilliant ... and nothing was as it seemed!... More

The first thing you see when you exit the elevator at the reception desk is a mind-blowing view of Tokyo spread out in all of its glittering glory. We were then escorted into the lounge where Tapas Molecular Bar is located to further soak in the views until it was time to be seated for dinner. Our chef was from... More

Molecular gastronomy. Loved every second of the spectacle. View from the top of the Mandarin Oriental in Nihonbashi is terrific, you can see Mt. Fuji on a clear day. Meal is served on the bar. Two chefs -- both dynamic, engaging. The dishes were cute, delicious and fantastic fun to eat. Well deserving of its star. Best place we ate... More

Amazing restaurant: the show and the dishes that the dynamic duo presented us with left us in awe; each of the sixteen (!) dishes was perfectly presented and stimulated our tastebuds on the highest level; ingredients were of excellent quality too; both the wine and the mocktail pairings are extraordinary and go along perfectly with the dishes - I would... Kento Ushikubo is destined for greatness. This was one of, if not the best meal that we have ever had. Better than the French Laundry. It's more than the food, it is theater, art, philosophy, and dinner all at the same time. The ingredients are perfect but the techniques used to push the food into an art form is what... More

This is one not to miss. Out of all the places we have eaten in our lives, and that is a lot, this is definitely one of the highlights. Make sure you reserve, seating is limited. Part dining, part performance art, this is not one to miss! Very creative cuisine, and 17 courses of it. Explanation of courses in English... More
