Stunning restaurant with the MOST delicious sushi we have ever had. While it is expensive it is absolutely worth the experience. The quality of everything is out of this world. Worth coming all the way to Tokyo just to eat here. It's simply that good.

This restaurant is on the 38th floor of the mandarin oriental hotel, so you already got a plus for the stunning views and the amazing location. It's a cozy little place with just 8 seats, so booking in advance is a good bet (through your hotel or yourself, as they understand English pretty well). We chose to go there for... More

One of my favorite restaurants in the world. The sushi is absolutely amazing! They really make an effort to serve what's seasonable. They accommodated my dietary restrictions very well (Kosher). The chef's English was perfect which is incredibly helpful in explaining all the intricacies of the meal and of what he's serving you. The view is jaw dropping. Even in... More

Right from the start being at the Mandarin Oriental is already an A+ if you like me, enjoy the finer things in life.Nice welcome into Sora (Sky in Japanese) with an amazing view (38th. floor) , into a real intimate and minimalist space with Onyx walls, nice bonsai and a 350 year old cypress counter that seats only 8 guest... We enjoyed a meal here during our stay at the hotel. The setting is very intimate with only 8 seats and each chef only serving 4 people. We were given a wide variety of food and the meal was well paced and beautifully presented. They even gave us a special dessert in honor of my husband's birthday.

This is a lesser known high-end small sushi restaurant with top quality sushi, a great list of premium sakes and omakase options. Chef is extremely talented not only to make the best sushi, but also to anticipate and manipulate your taste buds and mood, to sequence your every bite in the right order which creates the best experience and satisfaction.... First of all - the location on top of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel offers incredible views over Tokyo. In true Sushiya style, the restaurant only has 14 seats on the counter. The Omakase is the way to go here. They have a comprehensible Sake list, we just had beer to go with the sushi. The only dish I wasn't fully... More

After arriving on a long overseas flight from NYC, this was a welcomed surprise for these weary travelers. What an experience! So personal, interesting, delicious and private and all with a spectacular view of the city. The chef was awesome and talented - what a way to start our Japanese adventure!

We both ordered the least expensive sushi menu and ended up spending over 400 dollars between that and the sake tasting menu, but it was an incredible experience. The view was unparalleled and the sushi chef was engaging and prepared the whole meal right in front of us with the freshest fish.

Located on the 38th floor of the Mandarin Oriental in Tokyo, the restaurant has a fantastic view over Tokyo Tower. Imaizumi-san is welcoming and speaks good English, no other sushi-ya in Tokyo offers such an amazing view over the city’s never-ending skyline and most importantly, the sushi is superb !!!
