I had some friends visiting from USA and they wanted to have a traditional japanese experience so we went Hamadaya. The minute you enter Hamadaya you are transported back in time to a simple elegance filled with tradition that evokes the images of Japan we have seen in movies and read in books. What made our meal special here was the service. Kimono clad waitresses who made everything into a ceremony. 100 year old building and the restaurant run by third and fourth generation family members. A night to remember.

My partner and I went to this restaurant for lunch to celebrate a milestone birthday, and being 3 Michelin stars, we had high expectations. Our expectations were met and exceeded!
