Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The queue for this place is long, and with good reason! The ramen is delicious - go for the set menu and experience everything. We queued for 40 mins. Once inside there’s a machine to order your ramen and then you are led inside to...a booth to eat. Water is free and served at the table but beer and tea is available to order tooMore

We went there for dinner and had to wait for almost an hour to get started. Otherwise the food was like tasty max and great thing about ichiran is their flexibility with what additionals and spice levels you want in your meal. All in all...- if you can wait long then go for it.More

The best Japanese ramen I’ve tried so far. The soup is so good that I finished all of it. Had it twice when I was in Tokyo. A must try when you’re in Japan although the queue sometimes will be long.

Came here for a lunch after visit the famous scrambling crossroad at Shibuya. The queuing line was not long, about 10 people but it took us more than 50 minutes under the sun to get to the ordering machine, and another 10 minutes to get...seated. Ramen broth was basic, service was fast and staff seemed quite nice. However, we do not recommend this restaurant!More

You can always trust Ichiran to give you a tasty and conforting bowl of tonkatsu ramen everytime. Even though Ichiran is a big ramen chain and has many restaurants across Japan, they are able to ensure the quaity and consistency of their ramen. I ordered...extra chasu which were very tender. My wife ordered some seaweed and she gave me a sheet which goes well with the ramen. The broth was very tasty and not too salty. Overall, an excellent bowl of ramen especially in a chilly evening in Tokyo. Ichiran never disappoints. However, we had to wait for close to 2 hours as the outlet in Shibuya was very busy during dinner time So, be prepared to wait, or go during off peak hours.More

Despite the 45min-1h wait, this is one of the most comforting bowl of ramen that has maintained a consistent standard across the various branches. Orders are made using the vending machine with payment thereafter. The order stubs are then preented to the staff at the...booth, before ramens are served.More

Oishi Ishiran Ramen! I ordered the number one ramen they have and it didn’t disappoint. It was soo good. I emptied my bowl. You order using the vending machine. Put your money in first, choose your ramen and the ticket comes out. The place was...really tiny, there was about nine private stall, bar type with the server behind the bamboo shades. They give you paper to choose if you want your ramen with onions or without, spicy mild, medium or super spicy etc. they served the ramen fast. I wasn’t able to try other ramen shops I Shibuya but I heard they were all good. I would eat here again when I go back to Japan.More

Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool.

Ichiran Ramen makes their own noodles made from flour. From what I read, flour is made of wheat and therefore not gluten-free.
