Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a wonderful place! Had both the Kobe Sirloin and Filet. Prepared right in front of you. Served on a slice of bread, but wait until the end to eat or taste the bread. It will be worth the wait. Our chef "Yone" had a...great personality! Playful and funny. We even had a beer with him. Highly recommended and best of all, reasonable!More

Wonderful experience. Very small shop but cosy. Booked online for reservation so didn’t have to q but given size of store, I would think walk-in is not allowed. Was surrounded by tourists and only one regular. Love the bread soaked in all the essence of...the beefMore

Simple small teppanyaki shop. Cooking is done by the old lady, and when it gets too crowded and if they decide to open another table, the younger man will do the cooking for that table. Overall experience is like eating at your grandmom or mom...place. Nothing fancy and you need to be patient as the old lady cooks for all and it is popular and gets crowded (all tourist). Personally, I do not find the food super fantastic and portion is small. We added fried rice because of that and turned out to be the best of the whole course!More

We went to Hakushu teppanyaki early February and loved it, the service was great and the staff were very friendly, the place was small but had a lot of atmosphere, the place seems to be family run which felt more genuine than some other large...businesses. The food was fantastic we both went for the 2 variants of Kobe beef (180g) and we're pleasantly surprised by the price which was 7000¥ each at the time, this seemed decent value for Kobe beef and the amount of other food you get with it, they give you Aubergines, onions and another type of vegetable (which I wasn't to sure of the name) which were cooked Infront of our table, along with 2 great sauce dishes to dip the Kobe beef and the vegetables in (which were delicious also), they also soak the Kobe beef into toasted bread which was fantastic. The Kobe beef tasted amazing and basically melted in your mouth when you try it, I'd highly recommend going for it if you go. Thanks for the great service, would definitely go again.More

I wonder why the lady below was able to get seated without reservation bcos we went 2 days ago at opening too and they refused us flatly. Furthermore I called many times everyday before my trip to all their 3 numbers, all nobody picked up....I could have booked via jpnezy with a fee, however we were coming from kawaguchi on 27th & the bus was late, did not want to risk it. 28th was the last day before they closed for new year. Luckily I did not reserve because on 27th our bus arrived late and we had trouble locating our hotel, by the time I went there it was 9+pm. I asked them if I can reserve or if I can come at opening time on the 28th, they said I can try. On the 28th we changed our plans significantly to go, were at Roppongi but came back all the way just to make it to the restaurant before 530pm. We even had to walk from ebisu (20min walk) to reach. & the guy just refused to let us seat. Nobody was in the restaurant, I’m sure they can accommodate just 2 seats. We can finish in 20 mins if we had to. We had a kaiseki in the afternoon and were not tt hungry too anyway, we still came. I tried all my best to reserve and nobody would pick the call. What’s the big deal? They are so stuck up. We went to Satou steak and also the teppan place at Keio plaza hotel which were highly rated too, very good and much better service than this place. I’m sure there are lots of alternatives waiting in Japan. This place is plain stuck up. Just overhyped tourist place. No locals. Pls understand when foreigners come to your place they went to significant trouble to go there, its just 2 seats I’m sure you can accommodate. Do not come hereMore

I went here in early February 2020 with my girlfriend for a wonderful teppanyaki experience. The restaurant is located in a nice bustling area and is operated by a family that is very hospitable and provides some of the best meat you will ever have....I would highly recommend making a reservation because of the space size and its popularity among-st locals and visitors alike. Our meal was prepared and cooked in front of us by one of the sweetest little old ladies I've ever met. We each had the sirloin and filet and you can't go wrong, just make sure to order the 180g and try out the garlic fried rice (we didn't and I regret that). In summary, if you're looking for delicious kobe beef in a small setting with great service, this isn't a place to be missed.More

For those who would like to have Teppenyaki in Tokyo for a reasonable price , this family run small restaurant seating 20 persons is definitely the place to go. Don’t expect any shows by the chefs , in most Teppenyaki restaurants in Japan you will...see the chef making a show during the cooking process - not here it’s just plain cooking without any shows. However the taste of the meat is excellent and well worth the money you pay...More

Simple, high quality Teppanyaki at a reasonable price (for Tokyo). What more could you want? We didn't have a reservation but showed up exactly at 5:30 and were seated. 5 other people showed up so if you don't have a res, this is a good...time. For recommendations, get the sirloin! It's got a lot more marbled fat that just tastes so good! It just melts in your mouth. Splurge on the 180g size. Filet was nice but not as special. Finally, don't eat the bread. When your finished, they butter it and re-toast it. Delicious! Great meal and worth the hypeMore

There are countless opportunities to shop in the
Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops
that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest
areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's

Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool.
