Stefano's is a quite Japanese" place in a way - small sized but with big attention to service, details and preparation. The food is very Italian (i.e., not in any way watered down for the Japanese palate) and really tasty. We have been here during...More

I have been here at least 10 times now, it only gets better. The menu is constantly changing, the seasonal items are fantastic. Considering the quality of the meat, cheese and home made desserts Stefano's food is excellent value. Lunch menus start at $12, dinner...More

I decided to try this restaurant after seeing rave reviews on Trip Advisor. Once again, it lead me astray. I had to visit the location three times during their advertised business hours before I found a day they were actually open. There was no signage...More

Although a bit hard to find, this spectacular cozy little restaurant located not far from Kagurazaka subway station is well worth searching out. Our first visit in early March had been memorable for outstanding food and friendly service and we were even more impressed the...More

Back in Tokyo for the weekend, I decided to revisit the fantastic Italian in Kagurazaka, that I last ate at two years ago, to see if Chef Stefano could repeat the superb job he had done last time. Yet again the Veneto style Italian food...More

Outstanding little restaurant. We got there a little early for dinner, and received very nice personal attention from Stefano; however, I noticed those who came later also received the same service. Upon deciding upon the dinner, Stefano recommended a nice selection (and explanation) of possible...More

Best Italian in Tokyo. Food, service, atmosphere are all great. This is not your usual bland, impersonal restaurant: Stefano personally takes care of guests. Only the best ingredients are used, and everything is made by hand. Last but not least, it's not at all expensive....More

This tiny restaurant gets everything right. The ice cream, pasta and seafood are very fresh and I love the desserts which are hard to find elsewhere in Tokyo.

Delicious, authentic, home cooked Italian food. Everything is made fresh and with care and clearly Stefano cares a lot on what he puts on a plate. I particularly enjoyed the rabbit tagliatelle and the scallops tartare. Highly recommended, enjoy a long, boozy, tasty lunch there.

Yotsuya / Iidabashi
Yotsuya and Iidabashi are areas that developed around
the outer moat of the Imperial palace. Nearby in
Kagurazaka, there is an old red-light district with a
photogenic feel evocative of the ambiance of old
Tokyo. Narrow paths with stone paving remain to this
day, and there are long-standing restaurants with
geishas and quaint old cafes in townhouse buildings.
