We were disappointed by the quantity of food served for each meal, the champagne was not enough cold, only one variety of bread available (pain de campagne), too much innovative (not very gourmand) for some meals. Very far away from the restaurant at Roanne (3 stars). The Maitre d'hotel said "yokoso konnichiwa" upon our arrival and then nothing; he just... More

Like its sister in France, this is one of the great restaurants. Service could not have been more gracious and each course was both beautiful and outstanding.

Food were all "try too hard", try too hard to make every dish perfectly balance and plated. I know this is a Michelin starred restaurant, but I think food itself should bring people joy not complexity. Service was so serious that made me very uncomfortable and the waiter's English was not good enough, i sort of gave up communicate with... More

We ate here for our last night in Japan. We went off the a la carte menu but still got loads of extra courses. My pumpkin start was okay, OH's scallop starter was really good though - lots of scallops. We both had the steaks for main and they were both exquisite - they were both cooked rare and were... More

お祝いで友人に連れてきてもらいました。店内は静かで、ロマンチック。接客も抜群です!気遣いなどがさすがって感じ。食事も美味しくて、最後のチーズもたくさん食べてしまいました。また機会があれば訪れたいお店です。 What a perfect restaurant. My from took me here to celebrate my promotion. From the ambience to the quality of the food, service... I had a magical time here. It has Japanese essence with the combination of french. It is worth every penny let me tell you and the cheese is the best way to end your meal!!!!

The standout of our meal was the cheese trolley-- we could choose as many cheeses as we liked from a selection of about 20. The Fourme d'ambert was carefully aged and was delicious with some honey. Another course we liked was the veil of tofu with saffron cream and mussels. It was certainly both a visual delight and a palate... More

Cuisine Michel Troisgros is a 2 Michelin Star Restaurant in Tokyo, back home in France it is also one of the oldest restaurant that maintained the accolades for a Long while. We ordered the set lunch, we have given 2 type of finger food generously, our appetiser is a colourful vegetables coated with strips of squids in tomato sauce, brilliant... More

Refreshers, starters and main courses were all very special and delicious. The cook has added a very balanced and elegant Japanese touch to French cuisine. Also the service adds a star to the taste. The waiters were very helpful and made all the explanations and gave good guidance. I personally would not suggest the Hidagyu beef as a main course because... More

Been there for lunch, after a very long time having nothing but traditional Japanese meals (from breakfast to dinner) and we find ourselves craving for some top eastern flavours. This restaurant delivered more than what was expected. Great experience.

We have eaten at many of the top 10 restaurants in the world and this is equal to several of them The restaurant is located in the Hyatt regency Tokyo with an open kitten and attractive dining area. The service is impeccable and the food is amazing with flavours that we can only describe as smooth This is a restaurant... More

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
