One of the problems with eating out in Japan is the name of the restaurant is usually in Japanese and the credit card slips also in Japanese. What it does mean is trying to write a review is difficult. This restaurant was recommended by our tour guide. It is buffet style and you can get all you can eat for... More

We were there for a late lunch or a very early supper buffet. There was a good selection of salad, entree, and dessert items. Hot drinks and sodas were included. There is a fee for all-you-can drink beer. The meal was not too memorable. What I did remember were the udon station, the ramen station, and the chocolate fondue. This... More

First experience of a Japanese meal. It was a big spread. Only problem if you are a vegetarian the spread is limited for you. I was still happy eating the prawns with water crests-nuts and fried rice. The deserts were a good spread. Orange juice was included in the meal.

They serve a variety of tasty foods; meats, seafood, vegetables, soups, rice, noodles, desserts, etc. I was happy because I was able to eat a lot of vegetables. It is... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
