Good ramen, but not amazing. Very reasonable price. Popular for locals and travellers, long waiting time are expected.

Upon arrival in Ikebukuro walking to our apartment, during Golden week, we stumbled upon this place at midnight - ya' there was a line then too! Woke up waited for opening and we ate....there's a reason it has a #1 rating in TripAdvisor. Can't wait to go back in 2017!

We came early in morning and lined up for a bit more than 30 minutes. The ramen experience was great. Definitely I will come back when I visit Tokyo next time.

We waited about an hour, though it felt like less time than that. As long as you're not starving, it's totally worth it. Best ramen I've had. The number 9 was the perfect amount of spice and the pork that they're known for just falls apart it is so tender. Don't be turned off by the line.

Best Ramen at Mutekiya: we waited in a long line in the freezing cold. It was all worth it. The line moves slowly. The place is tiny and the ramen is just awesome. The soup is very tasty and the meats are fresh and delicious. We plan to return here when we visit Japan again.

Exquisite ramen. I recommend arriving around 10:30am, their opening time, to avoid a long queue - you can consider it a hearty breakfast and spend the rest of the day walking it off. The Mutekiya-ramen is delicious, the tyasyu-men is an orgy of roasted pork, and the umakara-men has just the right amount of spiciness.

I tried many other ramen in Osaka, Kyoto & lastly in Tokyo. This one is the best. I ordered the most spicy one. Menu no. 10. And this is probably the best ramen I have ever tasted. Add some garlic crush will level up the taste too. Waited for 30 minutes. My husband order the normal soup. Very delicious too... More

We reached there at 5pm and there was already quite a long Q outside the restaurant. We stood in line battling the cold weather for about 45 mins. It was all worth it because it is the best ramen we have eaten so far. I like the texture of the ramen itself and the pork slices are thick cut and... More

Our order was taken while waiting in queue, so once we sat on the counter, food was served almost immediately. Took their recommendation for first time visitors and ordered the Mutekiya ramen. And it definitely did not disappoint. The pork bone broth, while being rich, was not too oily unlike some others I've eaten. They provide lighter soup to make... More

After waiting in the rain for more then 30 minutes, we finally have our Mutekiya ramen for dinner /supper /early breakfast after out exhausting day to Disney Sea. It was worth the wait. The soup was hot, thick and flavourful. Scoop some bonito powder in and the oomph factor shot through the roof. Bigger serving of noodles comes at no... More
