Located on a crossroads, the Leadburn attracts a lot of passing trade. It is known as a biker-friendly inn, and the food is very good - lots of choice, great service and not expensive.

As it says on the tin, "good honest pub food" at a reasonable price with good service served in the light and airy environment of the bar on a summer's day. I imagine it will be cosy should you visit in the winter months. The...More

This was an impromptu visit. We did Sunday lunch. The roast lamb was delicious and the portion was substantial. Everything was hit and tasty. We paired it with a decent bottle of wine. The views are wonderful and the atmosphere is relaxed. Well worth a...More

Took a walk up here on a sunny Saturday afternoon from penicuik. The food was absolutely delicious, good portion sizes, cheap alcohol and a good atmosphere in the bar. Only criticism was the prawn starter was nearly 8 quid and there was only 5 mediocre...More

Heard about this place through a random recommendation at the hairdresser’s, had a great experience and it’s now on our list of good local pubs to take visitors/friends to. Spotlessly clean, slightly dated decor but super slick furnishings wouldn’t feel right in this location. Plenty...More

Description
The Leadburn Inn is friendly, cosy Country pub with "real beer, proper food & comfy beds". We pride ourself on totally fresh, seasonal produce, sourced locally. Our menu is classically British comfort food, where the flavours of the ingredients speak for themselves....! We also have an ever changing specials board. Our cask conditioned ale selection changes regularly as does our bottled beer selection. We are independently owned and very family friendly. So much so there is a purpose built, 3 level, kids soft play area in a separate part of the building. We now have boutique bedrooms available. They are a mix of double, family and quad, Please see our website for details.
