Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very good Restaurant. We often go there. Our favorite plates are : Affettati misti con torta fritta. Tagliatelle al Culatello and Spalla di San Secondo. But I suppose other food is OK. You can also buy products of the area. See you soon. Maxbugatti.

We usually stop with all the family to have some cheese and prosciutto... even the risotto and the pasta they prepare with the “culatello “ is very good ... so you should try it but many times is booked ...

Came here after being recommended it by a friend. A bit uncertain of its appearance at first: was it a shop?, did it sell panini? Was it a restaurant? We found out it was all of this. We had 3 primi and a 🥗, all...from the day's suggestions. The primi were a good size and delicious. Certainly didn't need a second course. The cheese and cold meat degustazione dishes on other tables looked wonderful. Service was a bit slow to notice us, but once they took our order everything was fine. Next time we might try a few things from their shop. Some of it looked amazing. Oh yes: there will be a next time!More

Just off the motorway an interesting place if you want to taste the typical products of the territory and the province of Parma. Everything is nice from the partisan cheese to the culatello . Only one downside : it is expensive But of course you...have to pay if you wish quality so it is acceptable .More

As difficult as it is to go wrong on the King of Italian cured meats, "culatello" well they made it. A simple piadina with culatello should be the easiest option, and the quality of the product is actually good. Yet asking for a simple piadina...with culatello with grilled zucchini on the side can turn a safe choice into less than a mediocre one. The most bitter, tasteless zucchini I've ever had _ how likely is this to happen? _ flat bread and culatello, with just plain water to drink, for 15 Euros. Yep, you heard it right. Next time, just buy the famous Culatello, it will cost you less and you won't have to pay for a dubious service and an even more dubious quality.More

Went here with my Italian colleague for dinner. This was the third restaurant we tried, because the other were full or closed (we used tripadvisor to search and had a car available to drive arround). you enter in a shop with all kind of foods...and the restaurant is located a bit to the back side. We were advised to take some dishes which were really good. During the dinner the staff was very friendly and nice to talk to. After dinner there was plenty of time to look arround and buy some local hams and drinks. Would go here again if I am ever nearby again :)More

Just off the A1 motorway exit, this place could be seen as the typical stop for the sales rep in a hurry. Which it probably is, but the quality of it... As you enter, you are surprised: it's a motorway supermarket of the highest quality...(cheese, ham, cured meats, wines, balsamic vinegar, all the possible typical local produce from the gastronomic capital of Italy...), but with a bar and also tables (in three separate areas) where you can have the most mouth-watering lunch. And a glass (or a bottle!) of great wine, if you are not driving. A fantastic surprise.More

We found it by mistake as well, and we managed to go back after 2 weeks! Il bollito misto is excellent, like everything else we tried, be it tagliatelle ragu, carbonara di culatello or anolini. Got some fantastic parmigiano 48 mesi, they retail excellent products,...not so easy to find. Quite busy during lunch hour, yet the service was very kids friendly. Kudos to the guys. And a good espresso... Definitely worth to plan a stop here if you are travelling on the highway!More

We found this salumeria by accident; we were looking for gasoline after The Mall visiting. It was in the late afternoon, and all restaurants seemed to be closed, there were only kinds of quick chain pizzeria opened then. We went to see and found local...grocery shop, home made pasta etc. Finally, it was a very good idea. Just notice, it's not the same adress than the restaurant of the same name; it's just opposite side of the Mall, seems not very clean from outside because situated in the middle of anywhere(big parking), but inside, it's very clean and lots of stuffs. Note the adress; via san michele campagne sncMore

This time Tripadvisor didn't work for us. Nevermind the entusiastic reviews, my experience was utterly negative, so I can't reccommend this place. Except perhaps for well-moneyed, low-expectations foreign tourist :-) The plusses are closeness to the Fidenza outlet and long kitchen hours. The minuses: -while...overall food quality was reasonable, our cold cuts (Prosciutto etc.) where refrigerator-cold (meaning they had been cut well in advance), so it all tasted the same. The 'gnocco fritto' (see below) was definitely too oily. -they pose as autentic, with 'hostaria' in the name, but in fact are a rather standardized deli+resto operation, with a short menu and a conventional, modernistic dining area. Even the 'torta fritta', the true Parmesan street food was renamed 'gnocco fritto,' in a nod to tourists... -the staff was surprinsingly confrontational: when out of fairness I pointed out a mistake in the bill in their favor, they didn't believe it at first, then double-checked, then charged the difference on a separate bill, no smile, no thank you. And it was in their favor... -The portions were relatively small and the bill was steep. We spent about 40 Euros for two pasta dishes, a small cold cuts plate with 'gnocco' fritto, one water and one glass of wine. Within a 10Km radius you can get a lot better dining experience, and an authentic one, while spending less money.More
